If less than 3% ang premium charge, it is reasonable but if mas dako sa 3%, medyo mahal2x na. Premium charge is separate from annual management fee so total charges are basically premium charges and management fees. Sometimes, management fees are incorporated in the NAVPS na so no need to worry about it. But check it lang just to be sure.
    Nakutaw ako tuyok aneh!

At present, nagsugod2 nako aneh UITF with BDO, and planning to expand by Q1 next year hopefully with BPI and Metrobank.
Basic ra gyud tawn ako naknowledge aneh Liquid Investments. Aside from this UITF investments that I just started last 2Q this year, last month I started with another form of investment which is private stocks (dunno if it is the right term).
But I really wanted to maximize my investment opportunities but my risk apettite is just average that's why medyo apprehensive ko aneh Mutual funds.
Please mga sirs, tinood ba or is there any possibility sa MF investment kana ila literal nga geingon "Malunod ang puhunan sa ganansya"?
Kana bah may tendency nga ang capital mawala kay bagsak ang performance?

If your risk appetite is average at most, investing in UITF or mutual fund doesn't matter that much, investing in either equity or fixed income fund does. UITF and mutual funds are more or less the same. They invest in the same securities/investments such as stocks and fixed income instruments (bonds, bills, notes, etc.). If ubos imong risk tolerance, try to see if you're invested in fixed income funds. If naa ka sa equities (stocks), that is not the right investment for you.

Regarding your concern nga malugi ka sa UITF or mutual funds, partly its true. But that's common in investments. Investments go up and down. It follows the principle nga high risk high reward. If you put your money in something that has a higher risk, normally taas pud na iyang potential return. If monaog imong investment, just keep it there and let it recover. Mas maayo nga dagdagan nimo since the price of shares are cheap. Also remember that in UITF and mutual funds, there's a fund manager behind it who does all the management on your behalf so there's really no need to worry as long as long term imong investment outlook. By long term, siguro mga at least 5 years.

Summing things up, with all the pros and cons combined, basta willing lang ka ibutang sa UITF or mutual fund company imong kwarta for at least 5 years, both are very good investment options. In the end, mas dako pa ilang mahatag compared sa banks and most of all, tubo gyud imong kwarta because there's a very good chance that they will beat inflation.

good day mga bossing & ladies nato diri..

question lang ko mga boss coz ni-invest mn sad ko ug UITF with BDO. equity siya niya high risk. i'm an OFW diri sa miiddle east & was thinking of leaving some money behind as investment.

i know dili ni siya mo-accumulate ang gains & dili pud makuhaan ang ako principal or startup investment. my question is, since ang iya gains magsige mn change everyday, would it have been better if magsige ko ug claim sa gains everyday? or better to wait when motaas jud ang NAVPU?

    thanks in advance!

As I've said I'm not that literate with this liquid investments compared to others here, so when I finally decide to engaged myself into this type of investment and chose to have it with BDO , they (BDO) assigned their personnel to assess my so called " client suitability" so they can advice/recommend/guide me with the right/appropriate type of investment that suits me well. Based on their assessment on the client, isn't it? I reckon they are competent enough to forecast the trend /performance and protect the funds from falling into negative line. In layman's term " d pwede diay ilihay?"
Hence, Ang di nako makuha dri nga logic is naa man kahay gitawag nga " Professional /expert Fund Managers designated to manage your account/portfolio" then why is it that there is still possibility of capital losses?

How about, I'm the type that is willing to consider long term investment let's say minimum of 3-5 years but still my risk tolerance remains moderate as I'm not ready to take the risk of losing my capital since returns are not guaranteed compared to TD's. As financial advisors, what type/form of investment u can recommend that is best for me?

    @ medward & makie29,

Thanks so much for your valuable inputs.

    @ medward & makie29,

Thanks so much for your valuable inputs.
Personally bro, you can still continue your UITF since this is a good type of investment. 3-5 years is fair enough for me. but to maximize the return, you should add funds every month or as often as you can. Doing this strategy will clear and give you peace of mind that risk can be minimize...

    Hope this help.
