One month nako sa Odesk, so far so good I just got a contract that pays 35$ per project, nya akong trabaho tig timing ras mga subtitles sa mga video clips na iyang ihatag. Mag open nakog EON account para magamit na nakong sapi sa akong paypal
TIPS FOR BEGINNERS @ ODESK: Apply only to employers who have many positive feedbacks and has a verified payment method. Mu sunod ranang dagkong trabaho
some tips for new contractors based on my personal experiences:
> i usually apply for jobs early morning (4-8am) because a lot of new job postings come out during this time. ma unhan sad nakog apply ang mga Indians, Pakistanis ug Bangladeshis nga ga hagok pa at this time, since these people compose the majority of applicants.
> i save all the cover letters nga na hired ko. i recycle and modify these based on the job that i'm applying for.
> once hired, it is VERY important to keep in touch with your clients/employers because most, if not all of them appreciate contractors/employees who always update them on their progress.
> kung dili makaya ang trabaho, balibari. ayaw ug kauwaw. ayaw pabilib nga makaya nimo kai cgurado nga ma one-star + negative feedback gyud ka ana.
> i treat each job as my first and last so that i can guarantee its' quality and accuracy.
> i keep a balance of hourly and fixed rate jobs because sa fixed rate, you can receive payment in your bank in approx. 7 days, whereas for hourly, it would take approx. 14 days. this way, malikayan ang "tingbits".
that's all i can think of for now. i hope makatabang ni ninyo.
p.s. the first job is always the hardest to get, never loose hope. apply, apply, apply lang gyud. ayaw ka discouraged anang "your application to blah-blah has been declined." kung nakaya sa uban, makaya sad nimo. never quit. good luck.
mas maau if gamay imo rate ibutang sa imo profile bro, labi na beginners lang ka, wala pa feedbacks, ako ky $1.00 lang ako profile, and if mag bid, tn.awa average sa mga ne apply, ako technique, pagamyan nimu imo bid para mapansin ka, nya application e convince jud nga ikaw ang right contractor para ana nga project, kung mada below 1.00 mas maau, ky naa uban mas dako ila e offer kumpara sa imo e bid, try nko ana, ne bid ko 0.54c ky para lang naa trabaho, nya nadawat ko, pero ako contract ky $1.11 per hour diay for 40 hours a week for 6 months, mao na 1 of my 2 projects now ang isa ky 60 hours per week with $10 bonus by the end of the week if ma complete nimu ang 60 hours para ana na week, puro tg $1.11 ang rate sa 2 projects nko ron, perti pa jud sayona ky data entry lang ..
