1st, get your felyne comrades the "thief" skill.. they will have a chance to steal items from boss monsters. its similar to carving the monster alive..

2nd, CAPTURE, not kill. capturing yields better items. but sometimes fewer items.

3rd, always buy "drinks" from the felyne near the spring.. you will have a chance to get a felyne whim skill that raises the chance for better rewards..

4th, in every quests, on the first time you took it and you captured a monster, the rewards yield rare items..

if you mean North American version, wala. Still playable by the use of english patch though..
