Mao gani na, the big question is how?
^greater accountability within a fraternity. leaders must institute strict initiation rules (those that are life-preserving and not death-causing!) and they must know when there are initiations going on. therefore, the public must not hear the excuse of "leaders dont know when misguided hazing activities happen until theyre reported on TV". (this is a lack of accountability! cmon, leaders are not there for nothing!). leaders should be hunting and turning over guilty frat members to authorities.
that's the kind of accountabiliy that you hear me talk about again and again.
Some leaders, if not most, are still stuck in the traditional way of initiation which is hazing. Fraternities now has evolved too far and is a far cry from what it has been before, the real purpose of fraternities. That's the very reason why hazings are still very rampant.
if that's the case, then i say YES to this thread's title.Originally Posted by yokam
And how sure it is that it will eliminate deaths by hazing?
it would be another idealistic law. Sa ako lang, kung ang mga recognized fraternities sa mga schools mka buhat ug ingon ato na initiation unsa pa kaha ang mga underground fraternities. Mas delekado kay wla na nka balo sa ilang mga activities.
we'll see.Originally Posted by yokam

time for a change. fraternities that don't serve much purpose anyway should be relegated to history.
what do you mean by "too far gone"Originally Posted by Velvett

"fraternity hazings like earthquakes are just a fact of life"
yah this is true but fraternity hazings can be prevented or moderated to avoid deaths...just like earthquakes do!
