well, let me just put it this way, singaporeans are cunning and opportunists...specially sa mga pinoy...kay tungod kadaghanan man sa mga katabang didto gud gikan sa pinas, so you can't blame them to think that way.....ingon ana sad siguro ta kung kita ang naa sa ilang sitwasyon....

but, unhi gani, diba kaubo na sila......

I worked in Singapore for more than 5 yrs. and they were trying to intimidate me in the first few months....nga kusog daw sila manginom, unya gulat gulat gamay kay di kuno ko kabawo mo-english(kay di gyud ko mo pronounce sa word nga "film" as "flim")... hagiton bitaw nakog sukmagay ang gagulat nako, unya hagiton nakog inom ang ilang giingon nga pinakakusog moinom....kalouy sa diyos, the week after that, I was the most popular guy in our company...

hahaha lingaw ko well.. singaporeans are indeed opportunists..but they're being that goes a long way... sa history on how singapore came to be. but can't really blame them  it would be the same way as how we could trace most of our famed "filipino traits" from our own history.

but then, with any race or nationality all over the world, as long as ma prove nimo ang imo worth, then you get the respect that you deserve..and that's how the true pinoy shines! charing!

Singapore is a nice, clean, organized and highly developed country. Singaporeans are nice, friendly and very DISCIPLINED people.

We might envy Singapore for what they have, but they are sacrificing a lot. I for one noticed that Singaporeans are more concern about making money you could see most of them always looking at the stock exchange. They live a life of pressure even children are pressured in school to excel. They even have problem with their population now since the older generation outnumbers the younger generation so there is not enough young people to take care of the older ones. I heard some sad stories from my friends on how some family treat their elderly. This obsevation is based of having worked in Singapore for 3.5 years.

With all the material things that they have to offer at the end of the day I'd still come home to Cebu.

If you want to make the Philippines like Singapore then I guess all we need is to instill DISCIPLINE in our younger generation.
