Datu ma-priso, "Buhi-an" pero pobre ma priso, "Life Sentence"

    Human Rights? Due process?

Pati Judge sa Cebu gitang-tang sa iyang position. Kana ba wala makaila ug balaod?

OT: Let me get the logic here... A factory owner reserves the right to close an unprofitable factory simply because he owns it and it his right to do so... In the first place, he did not force his workers to come and work in his factory; moreover, they were even paid for their service... If he continues to open his unprofitable business, what else can he give to his workers? Wouldn't they also stage a rally if their demands of higher salary are not met just because his factory is not doing well?... Going back, they were not forced to work and they have the option to resign and find another one... With regard to the rallyist who rally on streets, they can rally all they want as long as they get permits to do so. And also as long as they are not seditious in their words. Senator Enrile was charged for his seditious words against President Arroyo during the so-called EDSA 3 though he went out on bail. As far as I can remember also, there was a time when Mayor Osmena disallowed FPJ's supporters from staging a campaign in Fuente Osmena simply because they failed to secure a permit...

GOING back to the main topic I really am not in favor of these vigilante killings because the main problem here is being mistaken as a criminal.. BUt if that's what they want, then they should rather go after those obvious BIG TIME DRUG LORDS and Syndicates. They're the biggest menace to society...

I like that.

Ka luy-an sad gamay. I heard that sa Japan, once ang head of the family (usually male), is earning much na, the wife does not have to work para tigaan ug chance tong uban to earn. And the narrator said that nowhere in the world is safe na.

So unsa pa man kinahanglan nga di man pa too? angay ra sad diay nga patyon!!! Galing lang, pangawat & hold up ra man ilang kaso. I don't think kinahanglan na ug death. Siguro if nakapatay, di patyon sad...Ang uban dili sad biya tuyo nga makapatay.

Rali? Diha ra ta maayo. Puro angal. Master ta ana. Naapil na sa bubble gang.hehehehe.

i've seen a lot of people who are not just poor but physically handicapped (buta, bakol..etc), but still they strive hard to work in a legal ways...how much more for this criminals who can run fast as hell when in pursuite by the police..

i hope you realize that, by your own words, you are not solving the problem. you are only transplanting it into other places, and postponing your worst fears.
well, i guess its better than taking no actions at all...if the mayor wont do any harsh measures wherein conventional means (trial, persecution..blah blah) does not effect anymore then crime rates in the city will go skyrocketing...

then you will have a lot to suffer for. maybe not in the immediate future, but rest assured, lions who have been trained to eat human flesh could sometime turn to the very hands that feed it.

and mind you..., only 'petty crimes?'
mayor duterte of davao had proven it successful...so why can't it be here in cebu?

my point in mentioning the so called 'dynamics of crime' is to impress the idea that to solve the problem of criminality, we first must know what we are dealing with.
we are dealing with people whom we can compare to a 'Plakang Guba'..no matter how you clean the surface and still the problem keeps on repeating..so why not whack 'em up.....

so if there is a failure in how you rehabilitate the criminals, then THAT should be the main push of the action, not summary executions of suspected criminals. u simply cannot use this failure of the justice system to push for something that borders on barbarism. unsa may diperensya nimo aning mga tawhana nga gipamatay kung ikaw sad uyon nga pamatyon sila?

ok. pwede nga naa sila'y records. pwede nga sulod-gawas sila sa prisohan. but is this enough reason to kill them?

arnoldsa: there are no hitlists. refer to the other thread regarding that topic. we can discuss the demerits of your argument regading ownership and the right to assembly in another topic.

its ridiculous to compare an able-bodied criminal to a disabled individual in such a way that we judge the invalid as better because he does not snatch cellphones compared to those who do. naturally, a paraplegic cannot run, so whats the use of snatching a cellphone if u get caught anyway? better live a 'straight' life.

no it's not better. its barbaric. and it is not exactly better to the communities where you will drive these people to. epitome of selfishness, don't you think?

by not advocating summary executions one does not necessarily lay back and do nothing. advocating summary executions is prescribing rat poison to a stomachache. your comment above has actually mentioned the problem; ineffective rehabilitation in our prisons. why should we not address this first instead of going around killing people?

i hope your good mayor has though about this first.

true. Plakang Guba. question is, how did you 'clean the surface'? or perhaps it is only the surface that you cleaned, assuming that there are no dirt underneath the table.

and because you assumed that there was no dirt left there, you threw away the old 'Plakang Guba' because u deemed it worthless and a hopeless cause... without realizing that it could have been fixed.

or perhaps we just do not want to go through the ardous process of determining our own social problems and its roots and fixing em. we want quick solutions, even if they have been proven ultimately to fail altogether.

no wonder we repeat history all over again. we never learn from it.

We lose hope/trust in our justice system here that's why we are in favor them to be executed.

    To all Robbers/Snatchers:

    It is justifiable/reasonable?

I'm in favor of your suggestion to rehabilitate them but how? In what way? Even top officials are corrupt. Do we still trust them amidst of wrong doing?

    Pit Senyor!
