mas safe ang after mens kaysa before mens esp kung irregular imong mens. 10 days from the first day of mens. so kung 5 days ni undang na ang mens, u still have 5 more safe days. why only until the 10th days? ovulation of females starts on the 2nd week after menstruation, 14 days approx. the sperm can live up to 3-4 days inside the uterus kung healthy ang semen. puede pa madakup sa egg cell ang ingon ana na case. mao na daghan masipyat ani. i really wont recommend this

from what I learned in med school.....

you have to take note sa for 6-12 months your cycle.

for example, every 28 days, or 35 days, 29 days, etc. mag menstruate ka.... sa 6 or 12 months nga span imo jd na e.take note if how many days ang interval from the start of menstruation to the next start of menstruation....

so example within 6 or 12 months nga nag note ka, the shortest recorded was 28 days and the longest kay 35 then e.minus nimu 18 with the shortest, then minus 11 sa longest.. 18 and 11 is constant..

so it will be 28-18 = 10 and 35-11 = 24

therefore, DAY 10 to 24 is UNSAFE DAYS for having S.Ex..... you might ask when is day 1 mag start? day 1 is the 1st day of menstruation.

Disadvantage
- if wide ang range sa imo shortest and longest day interval, mas taas ang unsafe days for s.ex.
