if it's coffee you want, anywhere nga hilom and dili crowded - something you won't get at starbucks and bo's (ayala branches). bo's capitol and ramos still has the original coffee shop ambiance, kanang dili ta samokan sa crowd.
bo's and starbucks ayala and bo's BTC are for the younger social-climbing crowd. you know, the type who wants to be seen as "can-afford", but drinks one cup of coffee for 2-3 hrs.
the other designer coffee houses are frequented by expats and their gold-digging companions. when drinking coffee outside the house or office, i'd rather have Nescafe from a despenser, rather than being in the same room with social-climbers, loud mouth foreigners and their whores.
if you want the laid-back coffee drinking experience with magazines to read, try drinking coffee at Bo's capitol, Gaisano Metro Ayala, or Brown Cup behind STC. that's the way coffee should be enjoyed.

sorry ha, but i really find it funny looking at those reading notes and books at bo's or starbucks or those with laptops, trying very hard to look serious as if they are studying or working hard, but in truth nagpa-impress ra diay. cge ra diay og pamantay kung naay naka-notice nila.
i've seen "working girls" sitting for several hours at bo's waiting for someone to hit on them. i've seen young men at starbucks acting as if they own the place but only ordered 1 cup of coffee for 1 table. coffee-drinking in cebu is not about enjoying a cup of java. it's about image, image, and image.
again, my apologies to those who disagree.
