USA keeping its role in International community inspite of financial crisis.
it is not only from china USA has debt of 1.3 trillion but from japan also 1.2 trillion. other countries brazil, taiwan, switzerland, united kingdom, US also has debt.

just wandering it is very expensive to maintain international democracy of sort as a model.

Unfortunately if you are the sole reserve currency holder it is natural to run a trade deficit where most of your created money/debt is funneled beyond your borders. You would really have to keep on making US dollars to be used for international transaction while you would have to limit circulation in the domestic market. It would be difficult to prevent the US dollar from being debased because it has too much of a responsibility in domestic and international markets.

However the US knows that there is still not enough replacement for the US dollar as a reserve currency so they keep on abusing their privilege. However talk about the dollar collapsing is not going to happen at all, what will happen is that the US dollar will only be devalued, the same thing with other major currencies. It will then be complemented by other major currencies that finally earn reserve status and therefore will complement, not compete with the US dollar. The only problem is the foreign policies of the US government which encourages economic interests in the guise of humanitarian intervention even if it is obviously beyond their borders, culture, and morals.

What is happening now is that the neocons who have long dreamed of a world where the US is the only existing superpower is slowly realizing that things are not turning out according to what they envisioned long before the start of the Cold War.

I don't believe that the Obama administration will favor regime change because of that risk. They will prefer a strongman who may be a human rights abuser rather than the chaos that will ensue if extremists gain control. The same as during the Cold War, they propped up dictators across Asia, like our very own, to contain communism.

On the other hand, they can't just let the use of chemical weapons pass without any reaction. Even Hitler, for all his madness, strictly forbade the use of chemical weapons in battle.

this is a compilation and brief summary of use of Chemical weapons in Syria (this was compiled and analyzed by a blogger and thus is not official. And since there are posters here who are keen on sources-other-than mainstream, well here you go.)
