such a waste of time reading that article lol i can only say...

    1. why the hell she had to go through marcos, the 1937 constitution and how marcos manipulated the constitution when its about the story of "Corona's appointment" so that she could equate Marcos = GMA = Corona = Evil.... lol

    2. if marcos manipulated the constitution and the SC on his time; we cant blame GMA when she is only following Cory's flawed 1987 constitution.

    3. if GMA didnt appoint a CJ then Penoy administration will have no CJ and suffer a constitutional crisis and be force to draft a new constitution. this had been explained by several lawyers, politicians esp Enrile.

    4. what can we expect from a yellow zombie and anti GMA journalist, Raissa Robles

Most of the guys who even signed the petition DONT EVEN KNOW the work of the supreme court, and the importance of having a chief justice on day to day basis, daghan kaso gireview and re-review ang SC sa tibook pilipinas, alanganaman hulaton pa na mapresidenti c PNOY para makaappoint cya? then if wla gihulat gitawag nya dayun ug "Midnight appointment", SC deals hundreds to thousands of cases everyday, and the difference between the retirement of the PNoy first day as president is 3 months, mo sacripisyo mo ug 3 months na wla nagdagan ang High court para dli mohilak ang bata?

..if dli masunod ang gusto bahalag dli sakto kay wla sa saktong proceso moreklamo, magpadungog2x dayun sa iyang speech, murag BATA, immature tawhana oi (refering to PNOY and all the signatories of campaign against Corona)

Not everyone is as dumb as you. Don't try to insinuate what you can't prove. Maybe ka afford ka ug food but who can't when dunay pan tag piso?

    Back on Topic... SUCCCEEEESSSSSS!!!!!

Now 16 more signatures and we welcome De Lima as the new CJ.

Probable antis for me: Santiago, Honasan, Lapid, Revilla, Arroyo, Angara, Marcos, Sotto, Villar, Cayetano P., Cayetano AP, Enrile

Though Enrile, Sotto, and Santiago are very likely to cave in to pressure.

LP stalwarts confirm Aquino ordered ‘fast impeachment’ of Corona
‘TRO on Arroyo travel ban sparked President’s ire’

MANILA, Philippines—Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. said 176 representatives have signed to impeach Chief Justice Renato Corona after a three-hour caucus of the majority.
“This is very important, grave and historic. We realize the gravity of this decision,” said Belmonte in a press conference after the signature drive.
Belmonte explained that since the representatives’ signatures were verified by the House secretary general after signing the resolution, the case could be sent directly to the Senate either Monday night or Tuesday. Belmonte said the 11-member prosecution team would be formed by Wednesday and would bring the case formally to the Senate.
Belmonte and another LP stalwart, Cavite Representative Joseph E.A. Abaya, revealed that a “furious” President Aquino wanted a “fast” impeachment of Corona after he and seven other Arroyo appointees issued a temporary restraining order on the Department of Justice’s travel ban against the former President.
“He was infuriated after the SC issued the TRO. He called me up and told me how he felt bad that the SC was intervening in behalf of Arroyo. He felt that this should stop,” said Belmonte in an interview. “This is our own game plan, we just had his support.”
Abaya said in an interview that the President told him that he felt Corona was the “last stumbling block” to his core reform agenda and that he did not want to spend the next five years clashing with the Supreme Court. “He gave the general direction, we followed because we believe this is the right thing,” said Abaya.
Abaya said that after gathering forces in the LP, President Aquino moved to consolidate his allies from other parties.
Belmonte and Abaya said the House leaders went to work to build a case against Corona “and go to every detail and ensure that it will stand on strong legal ground.”
Belmonte said the majority had been talking about Corona’s impeachment for weeks prior to Monday’s caucus and they only decided to push through with it after getting at least 95 supporters.
