just finished processing my passport renewal yesterday at DFA in pacific mall.

mao ni akong experience mga bro and sis:

woke up at 4am and arrived at pacific mall around 5am. taas na ang linya, from the gate sa consul (near parking lot) all the way sa end sa waiting shed x 4 lines. haha! naa nako sa 4th line. guards started distributing application forms at around 6.30am then they gave out the priority numbers. they only serve 350 (this was a Friday, i think Mondays 500+ ilang i-serve). i got no. 337! naa koy nakastorya nga no. 60+, 1am padaw siya nagsugod ug linya. O.O so my advice, if u want to get done in half a day, be there really really early. i think mga 3am payts na.

i thought mu-open ang consular office at 8am, but unfortunately, they open w/ the mall w/c is 9am. pila daan ang first 100+ sa gate sa gawas. but u can also enter via the mall entrance kung di mu gusto hangakon ug saka sa stairs to the 4th floor. haha!

important: if you are renewing a passport that is more than 6months before it's expiry, you have to get an affidavit of early renewal. naa ray notary sa sulod sa consular office. just prepare P250.00. u can go inside to get this even if wala pa imung number matawag para dili ka maabtan ug linya, just inform the guard.

senior citizens and families w/ children are given priority, they don't have to fall in line. gahapon mga 10am na sila naka-start jud ug process. dugay pud niabot ang secretary sa notarial nga booth. tsk3x...

for renewal, better if u prepare clear photocopies of ur reqts para di ka ma-hassle.

1. inside front (page 2-3) and back page (w/ amendments)
2. all pages w/ stamps (although sa processing, gibalik ni sa akoa. i dunno why.)
3. 2 valid IDs (akoang gigamit was SSS and PRC)
*if possible bring a 3rd ID kay ilang kuhaon inig kuha nimu sa priority no., then ibalik ra nila inig sulod nimu sa office
4. NSO birth cert in SECPA w/ receipt

so since naabtan man ko sa 300, gipabalik mi at around 3pm. kapoy tambay labi nag dili ka taga-mandaue. nos. 270-350 were called last, around 4.30pm. pagsugod, tig-30 ra ilang gitawag, unya pag hapit na mahuman hala tanan nabiliin gitawag na. tsk3x. now here's the thing, once u get inside, u give ur priority no. and they will give u back ur ID and application form. but dili na sila mu-mind sa linya. so kadtong magpa-photocopy pa sa sulod, maulahi jud sila. so better prepare jud ur reqts. paspas raman sa PROCESSING, although 4 out of 10 cubicles ra ang nag function. kulang ug manpower.

then you proceed to PAYMENT. leave your documents at Window 2, then wait for you name to be called to pay at Window 4.

25 days regular - P950.00
15 day overtime - P950 + 250 = P1200.00

June 15 man ko nagprocess so July 6 ang scheduled releasing.

after that, proceed to ENCODING. diri mi grabe nadugay. pwerteng taasa pa sa linya niabot jud sa gawas sa hallway. pero don't worry kay tiwason jud nila tanan bahalag mag overtime. ihatag imung documents, then u will check if sakto ang data nga gi-encode, have ur picture taken (kabaw naman guro mo unsa proper attire for this), then biometrics (signature and thumbprint - all digital). after that, wait for ur name to be called for u to check again the printout of ur data if correct ba, then affix ur signature. BRING A PEN.

so nahuman ko ani tanan 7pm na. pwerteng nang dukaa.

btw, sa cgeg tranfer2x sa mga tao nangaguba najud ilang benches sa sulod. tsk3x. may pag monoblock nalang ilang gigamit. haha!

no water bottles/food allowed inside the office.

Ask pud ko guys na a ko sa gawas krn pero akung asawa na a sa Pinas Krn mag pa buhat cya og passport krn pero ang problem mag pa kasal mi eneg October or November ang problem if mag pa buhat cya pasport krn ang family name sa eya pasport kay eyaha nya mag pa kasal man mi eneg october ma usab eya family name ok rana kung dli sakto eya family name sa eya pasport or need jud huwat cya after na human mi kasal then process nami sa paspport ?
