Numero Nueve...



After several months of hohum Air Force One releases I finally copped a pair that caught my attention. We're still in 2007 and still a part of Nike's 25th Anniversary celebration of the Air Force One is this shoe to honor the non-US cities that made AF1 popular. Presenting the AF1 World Love Series Japan a.k.a. "Grapes".

This isn't the first time a Nike shoe was nicknamed grapes by fans. That honor would belong to this version of the Air Jordan V




Out of the Box:

AF1 Grapes base color is white with varsity purple and laser blue accents. It is a basic release so it only comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. No keychains land metal tipped laces or aglets like Supreme and Premium versions. Inititally I thought this was going to be a very expensive Supreme shoe but luckily they placed it as basic which is the most offordable.



One thing about this shoe is that it has a very nice sole....purple translucent rubber. Unlike clear rubber, these will stay violet over the years and not yellow.



I also love the weave pattern on some areas of the shoe...



Since this commemorates Japan...the interior has the samurai warriors



With my other purple shoe the Supreme Wilkes AF1.



For something that has a decades old design, it is still mad comfy and classy. My only complaint is that they should have added the metal lace tips but it will still get a rating of out of
