The magnificent Maria Cristina Falls on a rainy day. Maria Cristina was once a raging waterfalls until it was tamed when its force was converted unto a hydroelectric power plant thus supplying most of Mindanao its power. The falls is just within the City of Iligan.









During rainydays the premises will not allow any visitors. I was just lucky to be given a special privilege. The might of the falls is seen during Sundays at around 11:30am wherein most gate valves are open for tourists and locals to admire.

sir I visited a total of 4 falls in one day in Iligan... wala katunga sa 23 known waterfalls didto walay labot sa unknown and uncharted, hehehe... you can visit these four magnificent falls: Dodiongan, Mimbalot, Tinago, and Maria Cristina in a day... kung naa ka sa Pinas you can take a boatride to Iligan overnight then visit these places then take the same boat mga 7pm that same day.

by November 17-22 sir, I will surprise you of a 3-tiered waterfalls secretly hidden in the Philippines... will be shooting the falls for 5-days... this is considered as Philippine's most majestic waterfalls

The fourth falls I visited in Iligan was Mimbalot Falls. This is just about 15-20 minutes ride from Iligan. Iligan amazes me with great falls thats just within its perimeter. During my visit LGU was digging up something using a backhoe just around the falls vicinity and I just hope that they dont do much damage to the falls.
