Has anyone heard of the Asus T91 and T101 ? I think those two are gonna knock out most of the current 9-10" netbooks in the market today.

For those who prefer small and light Netbooks / UMPC's .. I came across these when I was in Hong Kong during the Holy Week.

UMID M1 - Currently Ranked #2 in umpcportal (just 0.693 lbs)

Trend seems to be going the way of Touch Screen especially with Windows 7 coming out.

The pictures don't do these devices justice.. they are really small and light.

To give you an idea of their weight, a Sony Vaio P weighs 1.397 lbs (twice as heavy as the UMID M1)

Good Point!

Vista paired with a netbook is a terrible combination as everyone knows that Windows Vista is a resource hog and will need at least 2Gigs of ram to work properly.

I read the other week that Windows Vista Home Premium users and up will get a free upgrade to Windows 7.


Windows 7 could also be the reason why Asus seems to be delaying their shipments sa T91 and T101.

I would advise people who don't currently need to get a netbook to wait till the Windows 7 (touch capable) netbooks arrive... basin mag mahay mo sa 2nd gen netbooks with the 3rd gen ones almost out.
