EcE kay you can touch Comp.E jobs..
Comp.E jobs cannot touch much of the EcE jobs.
and if you talk software, the Comp.Sci or BSIT will handle it. no much room for Comp.Es..

im comp. e grad but i go for ece. Y? Ece also covers a wide scope of computers, networking and the like... meaning aside from electronics and communications, u can also have a comp.e capability with only ece as ur finished degree. not vice versa.
but if you love purely computers, take IT or Comp. Sci... ky 4 years ra... dont wory if not covered ang hardware. software and networking man sad ang demand kaau ron which are the core subjects sa IT og compsci... sa comp.e 5 years, daghan engineering subjects and mathematics that are not computer related. samok2x ra... tapos sa mga hiring sa IT positions ky equally qualified ang mga IT/Compsic grads sa mga comp.e... so practical choice ang IT or Compsci.
I hope this helps...
kuha ug kanang pinaka barato nga college degree...then eskwela ug CISCO.
ang college pang diploma, pero sa pangtrabaho/career..if you like computers or technical stuffs then kuha ug CISCO certification. Or eskwela sa TESDA...abroad pa dayun...hehehe
If ECE or CompE, basin ma frustrate lang ka...ang imo boss or superior sa imo unyang trabaho-an dili diay license engineer, worst dili pa gyud engineering graduate hahaha...mahitabo, sugo-sugoon lang ka ug dili licensed hahaha.
Our engineering schools do not produce engineers. They produce workers!
Just looking at our engineering syllabus..pastilan! daghan kaayong subjects nga walay gamit! puro pang warta ang gihuna-huna sa academe or naghimo sa syllabus. Mao nga ang atong mga enginners...tua, nahimong technician, production employee...well, they are called engineers pero ang ila function in the real sense is a technician. tsk tsk tsk.
Duda ko maglisod pa gani na sila ug pass ug electronics technician certification sa US.
.
comparing ECE and CPE.. is very non-sense.. it's like comparing an apple to an orange.. i don't really get what kind of logic u are trying to prove..
kanang paka engineer hilas2x ra na.. g brainwash ra mo.. ece and cpe are focusing on different topics...
in terms of scope.. ece and compE are the same. kung ang 5-yr nga course ato basehan, di ta kaingon nga mas dako ug range ang ece.. kay both ece and compE take 5-years, almost the same number of units..
by the way, ECE is just i field of Electrical Engineering..
and Computer Engineering is Electrical Engineering + Computer Science combined...
or rather electronic engineering combined with computer science..
too bad kay most of the schools nganhi sa pinas kay ang prospectus nila sa compE kay mura nag ECE
ang uban kay murag compSci.. faet..

tsakto jud ka brad.. although nk work pd ko call center sauna.. first job nako.. waheheh.. if ur not competent enuf way mudawat nimo.. so dpat competent jud.. bisag unsa pa kurso nimo basta competent.. maypag mg.negosyo nlng kay dako pa ma kwarta.. ang uban man gani mga ece/compE/it/cs kay di man gani madawat call centers kay di kamao english..
Both courses are good. If you want to stick more on the hardware side, go for ECE. But if you want to have a little of hardware and a little of software, then CompE is for you. I am an ECE but my work is in IT and software development. Naa ra jud na nimo if asa ka mabutang sa trabaho and sa interest sad jud na nimo. dapat flexible jud ka regardless of your course.
