[color=navy]My English teachers in High school and college would definitely declare this an incomplete thought, thus an error in grammar! Haha.Originally Posted by diem

And another thing...
I wonder why did the writer of this article phrase it "...made this comment, which, unfortunately, is in Filipino:..."?
Why is it unfortunate to make comments in Filipino? And it is MELANIE MARQUEZ, what more can anyone expect? LOL.

pasabta ko ngano nakadaog to bb.pilipnas world, nauwaw ko sa iya tubag nga out of nowhere!
basin ang gibasehan sa uban dri sa forum, angayan gyud siya mapildi kay sayop iyang tubag?Unsa man diay ang criteria for judging?I think this is a beauty contest not a quiz bee?Kung nasayop man sya ug tubag then a minus pero overall kahibalo ba ta sa iyang gidag an?Ang question and answer portion ba?Cmon give her a break!
This has been very puzzling for me. In most of these pageants I've seen, some contestants don't speak a single word of english, they use an interpreter.Originally Posted by godsaint

It's a beauty pageant and unfortunately, it's Binibining Pilipinas, it's more than just a beauty pageant with mere looks and the curves. Ruffa Guttierez said in her interview that "she's (J. San Miguel) representing the country" and would you be glad that foreigners would label Filipinas as dumb? She's representing Filipinas more importantly. Take note that such beauty pageants have very high standards especially in the Q and A portion and sad to say, this is one of the portions where people would really gauge the contestants. Now here comes a 17 year old contestant who can't even give a sensible answer to a question who a grade 5 pupil can answer straight. Isn't it ridiculous?basin ang gibasehan sa uban dri sa forum, angayan gyud siya mapildi kay sayop iyang tubag?Unsa man diay ang criteria for judging?I think this is a beauty contest not a quiz bee?Kung nasayop man sya ug tubag then a minus pero overall kahibalo ba ta sa iyang gidag an?Ang question and answer portion ba?Cmon give her a break!
She might have won through the points but the insults will remain. Filipinas are already regarded as "domestic helpers" and "bride orders" in some parts of the world, how worst it would be if Filipinas would be regarded as dumb. It's a possibility that we all have to deal with because of her mess.
She might do good in bikini contests.
Maybe these insults came only from fellow filipinos?Ana man gyud na.
