hehehe...i'm still new...2007 man ko na batch...na rn the same year, unfortunately i speak for myself, in the presence of senior nurses...i am nothing compared to them, in terms of experience of course...dealing with irate SOs and patients every day will really teach us how to humble ourselves, cause no matter how hurting their words maybe we are not in the position to answer them back in retaliation. the new breed of nurses may seem arrogant and MS or MR know all but hey there are those who had worked abroad that are SO SO i'd rather not say the words, some nurses or other health care professionals who had worked abroad, when they come home...they feel like they're the king and queen of the world, there are times when they look down on the filipino nurses themselves and this not hearsay it's a first hand experience. you can't blame the new nurses of course they have to sell themselves, it's a tough competition, and filipinos have this so called crab mentality, we bring each other down not help each other. if the new nurses have to evaluate themselves, well i guess so are those nurses who are lucky enough to set foot on the promised land some them are equally arrogant as well...^_^ i don't mean in general though that is why im using SOME.
kapoi tuon....work nlng...^_^hahahaha
@CL, lingaw kau ko read imo post do. siguro if i can talk to u basi lingaw gyud ko permi....now, lets get back in business. true lisod ang way exposure. ni mention naman gyud ka ug changing sa colostomy bag, ang diha ba sa ato ky recycle gihapon? or given ang pasyente ug whole box and u can change it anytime u like or shud i say PRN? either papilit lang sa skin or katong 2 pc. na klase?
so, brace urself and the upcoming RNs ok for higher responsibilities...mao bisan gamay na exposure mas better gyud. take it from me na wa kaau ko hands on to most of the stuff i mentioned kay home for the elderly ako exposure prior in a different country. it took me awyl to adjust but filipino nurses can easily adjust as long as ul keep an open mind for learning.
di gyud saun ato trabaho

di man sa di nalang ka motingog kung naa ka sa ryt na lugar...bisan asa pa ka na lugar puniton. equal responsibilities and opportunities bya ta tanan unta. u have the ryt to question or just assert to ur superiors of course...but too bad ky mao man na ato culture diha. less ato freedom to express labi na basta seniors becoz innate na sa ato naa ta high regard to people with position and authority. understandable.
naa ka point naa uban nurses who had the chance to work abroad as well ky mo-lookdown pod ug uban or kung ka level mo dri or imo sya ma preceptor....ma-threatend sya and so gamiton ang power of seniority dayon. pag uli diha....da sad na na trait.
wy gipili.....ang profession na daan is service and humility comes along with it unta pero tungod ky abusaran na sad sa pasyente ug uban taw dri ky ORDINARYO ra man ta ....MAKUBLAN NA ang batasan and again mada napod diha. this is another side of the story.
gud observation
^ Lisura diay sa...
That makes me wonder sometimes, "Nganong ni-enter man ko aning nursing" Hehehe...
Ako mangapply na lang sa jud ko ani for volunteer work, then review and do research on possible countries we can go to for work.
Naa lang ko'y question, sa CDUH ba, do they accept only those applicants from CDU?
