Instead of building additional malls if employment ang atong topic... I'd rather have BPOs, engineering firms, and factories to be built here in Cebu... than overcrowding our city with malls and recreation establishments.

Kanang mga ex-squatters dinha, kabalo na sila nga gagmay ug sweldo ang SM... kay if ganahan palang na sila ug SM, didto rana sila nang trabaho for lifetime.
Sakto gyud ni ai .. .

As a city, if we want to grow economically, daghan unta mohimu ug mga firms na mo cater sa mga naka graduate sad jud ba.. which dako unta ug matabang kay dili na ta mag cge ug rely sa mga imports. .. We ourselves mao nay mangunay ug build ba..

In terms of business balancing out, lisod dyod na. Main fact is that most Pinoys do not patronize local products. Unsaon pag grow sa atong homegrown industry if prefer nato is foreign products. Yes, guilty sad ko ani. For example, much prefer mu palit sa branded apparel compared to buying at boutiques and apparel designed by pinoys.

but if salary is concern, we have to factor in a lot of things, but to make it short, a business needs to balance out everything, all the expenses of operation including the salary, in order to survive.

boss, u might have forgotten that in every city there are different demographics. SM caters to that certain demographic while the BPOs caters to another .....

and besides, no company is perfect ...
i love malls. i think more malls the better. i think mall operators know when there is a demand enough to put up one. although, local government should create a plan how to regulate this as whenever there is a mall, traffic choke-point follows. so i think there should be a traffic plan if a mall is being constructed. hope cebu will have more Malls and more BPO offices. if tomas gets his shit right, hope SRP will develop the way it was envisioned so that people from the south will have more work nearby available without going thru the city.

I agree, daghan jud mag window shop or pa bugnaw lang sa mall...

Pero usahay malu-oy ko sa mga salesperson kada boutique... Murag mag pangagot kung naay moagi sa ilang area, "Sir welcome"... Maluoy ko, kung pwede palang dad.on nalang sa balay.

Kidding aside... At first guro, naa jud ma hire nga mga blue collared jobs (sales, janitors, etc..) pero if minimal ra maka revenue ang malls, some boutiques may close while katong mga white collared jobs walay increase and minimal benefits.

Mura man pod ug ge dali2x ug palit sa SM ang SRP lots nya pinaspasay ug tukod sa malls, forecasting the City Administration will change in 2016...

Anyways, like what I always do... dili nalang ta mag depend sa gobyerno. Maningkamot rata ug atoa para mo asenso.

Hahahaha, I read regarding closing the branches her in Cebu. Good luck sa mga account holders sa BDO. My personal experience lang ha, the reason why I don't like opening in BDO and opened up with BPI instead is coz of the customer service. Once ming try ko og open, nag inquire ko regarding the amoung needed and stuff, giminalditahan ko sa customer service. After ato, urag nawad-an ko og gana.
