basic plants ra akong need for my set-up unsa na klasse sa soil inyu gamit? karon pako mag try ug planted so wa pa kayo ko khbw unsa mga go to's ani..thnx

I wouldnt recommend soil for your first time planted tank unless you know what ur getting yourself into. The substrate i used for my first planted tank was construction sand. Ako gi sala ang <3mm, 2-3 mm, and >2 mm particles. Ang base kay ang >2mm sand (1 1/2 inch unwashed) then ang 2-3 mm (1 1/2 inch washed).

@dub. i shouldnt probably mention this but dont put an undergravel filter if ur setup is planted since the substrate must be anaerobic for plant roots to function properly. But I bet you already know that

Last time i was at riverfront mao pay pag abot sa mga discus. They were really stressed out kay pure black pa ila color. I wonder if ok na to sila ron. Im thinking of getting one.

@Zerk, katong 1 inch sae, dili to flying foxes? sae gyud to? wala na nako tan-awa ug tarong kay lubog man ang tubig.

Kinsay naay experience sa mga SAE, dili na sila aggressive?

sa ako experience dili man aggressive ang mga SAE. i had 2 of them sa ako tank sauna. ok rman sa uban fishes

SAE ok ra, flying fox maoy dili mulimpyo ug lumot. hehe.

it was labeled flying fox but it's a sae. natanaw nako ang ikog .. lahos ang black strip. i have a bgger SAE in my other tank.
