Good day,

I'm new here sa thread. I have a SRH-240 headphone and suddenly the left channel is not working anymore. Is it possible to replace the wire into a better one? Or are there any service center here in Cebu for headphone repairs? Any suggestions or recommendations would be great.

the Apple stores carry some of Audio Technica's headphones, not sure about earphones like the IM-70 though.

Way lingaw. decided to open my Burson Conductor SL and see whats inside. It actually looks like a PC, almost each component is a separate card and attached to a main board. components can easily be replaced and upgraded with parts available from Burson and there are a lot of how-to guides and videos. Also, notice that there are no IC Opamps, it is fully-discrete, which makes it sound so good!



DAC - The conductor has 2 options TI PCM1793 or ESS Sabre 9018, The 9018 is top of the line and the same DAC found in Astell&Kern and Chord Hugo,etc.. but is also more expensive. I got the PCM1793 cz not only it is cheaper but it is the same dac as the highly-rated and very popular Burson HA-160D (now discontinued), also If i want, I can always replace it with the 9018 in the future. Based on reviews, sound-wise the 9018 is neutral and more precise while 1793 is warm and musical, totally different sound signatures, but both still very good.

USB - By default, it comes with the Tenor 8802 USB module, the dealer had it upgraded to the CM6631 for free ($65 value) as part of their promo package. which means it can now support more sample rates via USB

RCA-Out - By default, it has no RCA-out, only headphone. But the dealer had an option to add it. For me, RCA-out is very useful, so its a no-brainer. Based on the pic, It looks like they bore 2 holes above the usb input for the RCA jacks, and they connected it directly to the headphone-out so its not really a separate line. good enough for me.
