maybe recognizing the saints as saints is just enough. they can be a model also. but praying them, as in praying, i think this is a different story..
praying is different from just idolising. and maybe this is what they do..
just an idea.
recognizing and idolising them is just NOT enough!Originally Posted by lomhanz
Bible says Saints Are To Be Venerated..
Saints are venerated as they reflect the glory of God. Jn.17: 20-23 “The glory which you have given me, I have given to them.” St. Paul says God honors those who are righteous. Rom.2: 4-11 “For he will give every man according to his works. Those patiently do good works, seek glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life… glory and honor to every one who does good”. Rom.13: 1-7 instructs to “respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due”.
Pwde sa maka intercede para nato ang mga santos..
The Greek word for witness is ‘martus’ as it is used in the New Testament. In the Bible, we have the evidence that those
who suffered martyrdom, are helping us in our needs before God: “ Therefore since we are surrounded by so great cloud of witnesses’ let us also lay aside every weight” (Heb 12:1-2) We see the prayers of saints are offered to God (Revelation 13:7.) “And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down be- fore the Lamb, each holding a harp and with golden bowels full of incense which are the prayers of the saints”. Saints are aware about what is happening here in the earth: Rev. 12: 10-12 Saints in heaven say “woe to you earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, he knows his time is short” Saints see what is happening here in earth! Jesus himself said the saints and angels in heaven are watching us. “Despise not these little ones because their angels are always seeing the face of the heavenly father” (Mat.18: 10) “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents” (Lk.15: 17) It all shows the presence of saints and angels in heaven.
Insert ko ha ...
Ang saints akoa nahibaw-an sa Bible kay Christian are saints .....
Dili lang nato ni lalison ha ... Istorya2x lang
In Roman Catholic theology, the saints are in Heaven. In the Bible, the saints are on earth. In Roman Catholic teaching, a person does not become a saint unless he/she is “beatified” or “canonized” by the Pope or prominent bishop. In the Bible, everyone who has received Jesus Christ by faith is a saint.
