Im proud being a Filipino because we need a visa in going to these countries:

US
Canada
Australia
New Zealand
Japan
South Korea
Italy and all european countries
Most south american countries
and much much more....

Im proud being Pinoy because we are still the poorest country despite of having brilliant minds, daily protest in the streets and no discipline pinoys. Ibang iba ang pinoy! Lets be proud of being Pinoy!

Its not discrimination, just being proud lang. I did not listed all the coutries that we have to have a visa in visiting those countries kay sakit kaayo sa kamot ug type type sa keyboard. Just listen to the PBB song, ibang iba ang pinoy, sikat na sikat ang pinoy. Kay almost everyday we are a headline sa CNN and BBC news. Sikat!

this is the problem of filipinos!!!!! they discriminate themeselves!!!!! as what i read in some of the posts, they always critizise filipino!! it's ok to do that but too much is something different..!! it makes me feel that we are animals with low i.q!!! and has nothing to improve at all!!

lets please change that attitude in order to achieve our common goals!! and be proud of what u are!!!

eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww! that's my reaction everytime I hear a Filipino brandishing his pride all over, especially if it is just for the sake of pride! you can call me whatever you want for saying this. we're just belching too much about ourselves, pushing us into a corner where people see us we are just full of hot air. admittedly, there are few things that we can do the best, but we don't stack up against others in anything else. as they say, 'mokaon pa ta daghan bugas'. but I don't mean that we should not have pride or kill it. for me, pride kept inside is humility. and it should be kept inside to fuel our drive to prove what we can do, or we can just easily puff it out as hot air.
in a multicultural society, ostentatious display of pride is somewhat discriminatory to others different from you. and it is also self-discriminating because you are distancing yourself from others. imagine in a multicultural group somebody is gushing about his Irish, Scottish or German pride, how would the others feel about it? and doing it within your own cultural group is an overkill! just like what we're doin in this thread. ew!
