I understand what you guys are saying, Red Cross is an Insitution that has been there forever, but that doesn't mean theyre already perfect and that their system is already everything that we need. Maybe a little adjustment to the situation or flexibility to the call of the situation. I am not talking as the expert here and I did not present myself as one from the start.

Boss nindot man inyong systema.

The problem is the people implementing the system boss. Pangutan-a gani ang mga taga Aliguay, Maribujoc boss kon unsay ilang nadawat. Ug ako pang ka-officemate, mumho ray nadawat nila boss, hangtod ang uban nilang silingan adto na lang sa mga Hi-ways mag-paabot hinabang rather than running to their good mayor to ask for aids.

This is what I learned from the early days... the only good communist is a dead communist..

woe to those in Maribujoc... nalooy ko ninyo nga mao nay inyong mayor.

The issue here is simple: between a politician and a Red Cross who do you trust when it comes to disasters and relief distribution?

  7. #137
.... .. DAPAT aware ang mga Politician(s) ani kay ang Red Cross is NGO and internationally funded.
Neutral both private sectors and government.

Red Cross will coordinate in LGU not necessarily to a Politician.

maulaw man sad ta ani! or mahiya naman Po kayo!

Makatawa nga malain man sad ta anang 'buwad sa Australia'.

I've seen the news as well. Gi-interview si Mayor and without a doubt, he released mean statements towards Red Cross and Gordon being a political animal - one of the reasons why they couldn't come up with an agreement. Gordon explained his side and he's right. Red cross is a non-government entity and as stipulated by law in RA No. 10121, Section 19. Prohibited Acts:

"Any person, group or corporation who prevent the entry and distribution of relief goods in disaster-stricken areas, including appropriate technology, tools, equipment, accessories, disaster teams/experts shall be held liable and be subjected to the penalties."

And it's the right thing to do for him to learn his lesson. He even sounded arrogant. If he's really concerned about the people, dapat malipay na lang unta siya kay naa ang Red Cross para mutabang pero gipalayas nuon. They can't blame Red Cross or other NGOs if they want to hand the donations directly to the people 'cause it is one way of making sure that it won't be used in politicking by these shameless politicians.
