    And the stupidity continues:

Plagiarism common practice, OK in Senate, says Sotto

If plagiarism is okay in the senate, is stealing too? and lying? because 'it's a common practice"?

Regarding the RH Bill, they say there are about 400,000 abortions a year. So is it okay then as plenty do it too?

Where will our country ever go with this kind of thinking? Why is it so difficult to own up to the mistake, say sorry and then move on?

Copying with attribution is different from simply copying. The first is a common practice, the latter is not.

Villacorta said Sotto’s researchers initially tried searching for the website of US author Natasha Campbell-McBride but could not open it.

The researchers resorted instead to Sarah Pope’s blog, believing her quotes of Campbell-McBride’s work was verbatim.
Oh, they are now changing tune from their previous statements.

“We cannot draw up a speech that says ‘according to this blogger who quoted this author.’ It’s simply too awkward. Besides, what would the Senate President say,” Villacorta said.
If it is awkward then it is so simple. DO NOT QUOTE IT AND DO YOUR G****MN HOMEWORK!

How typical is this..... plagiarism AKA a form of copyright theft is illegal for us, but okay for them? The usual double-standards, hypocrisy and sheer arrogance of our elite is on display once again. Makes me wanna puke!

most likely, sa speech writer ra gyud ni nga pataka ug himo sa speech without the proper reference... Sotto just read it and added his own sad story for dramatic effect.

doesnt make Sotto any less guilty of plagiarism though... kato pa gyud iya storya sa iya anak nga namatay.... the daughter of the doctor said her mom wouldve supported the RH Bill.
