We can not clean a filthy house with one sweep, with one broom.
Initially, the Commission on Elections will be tasked to set up a clean slate. But not in the present mandate. Their composition and structure has got to be reformed by adding a branch of the Comelec that will conduct some sort of a board exam for voters. No, we can not quantify the goodness of a person's intents, so this screening will not be like a classroom exam but more of a psychological test. The effort will be daunting and massive at first, but we have got to start somewhere, it is a long journey and this is just a first step. This has never been done before ever in the history of democracy so we will learn along the way.
What matter is that we all realize that a filthy electoral population is one of the core tumors that eats up the system.
Perhaps me might form a group of individuals thinking along the same line... try to help and fix this beautiful country, rather than let be run like hell. La Solidaridad of our modern times...how about that?
I asked the same question 2 days ago, weird I found this query here. Matud pa sa akong gikahinabi--ilisan tanang tawo. The culture that we have molds us, our reactions and decisions. We know something's wrong and we have been staring at the fact far too long we've become numb and hopeless.
Unsay diay ma achieve anang psychological test? mahibal-an diay na if balimbing ang isa ka Voters? mahibal-an diay na if pananglitan ako mubutar ko if kinsa tong kandidato muhatag nko ug dako?
Dili ing ana ka sayun ang problema sa atung nasud karun. Sobra pas complicated atung problema. Youre looking only in one side sa atung sitwasyon. kung sayun pa atung problema, nganu wa pa man ta nausab nga daghan man tawo sama nimu nga nag ingun nga sila maoy nakahibalo unsay Solosyon?
hehe kung mao na nga tanan wa kabawo sa solosyon.. sakto ka, wala na ta pag asa
wrong post...

there's no such thing as absolute liberty...the fact that there's an established systems and structures that we are adapting, it can be denied that there are also restraints and controls from the system itself. among theories of liberties, part of it is social structures and agency..
I am not endorsing socialism/communism ideology here to the extent applying the central planning mentality like in China..what I am promoting here is an agreement of common goal and visions in the context of this present system..
if you believe that government shouldn't be allowed to do the planning, what is your ideal state or government then? and who will then design the planning and run the trading both domestic and international? are you saying all of us are qualified?

yes, there is no such thing as aboslute liberty, as there is no absolute honesty, as there is no absolute efficiency, etc... But the concept of liberty is natural to all of us, it doesn't need any authority from any one or any institution.... You are a perfect example of a product of the conventional educational system, whereby the idea of non-interference of government in the free market and in your personal life is so out of this world... But, 200 years ago, US almost acheived absolute freedom, save from slavery and tariffs...
My ideal state would be, government protecting our natural rights to life liberty and property, prodviding national defense, and enforcing contracts. The economy will be left to the private enterprises of the citizens, less permits, less regulations, and more competition, more trade, and more supply of any goods and services... the true demand of any product or service will be really reflect in the market, and not by artificial means like through government intervention. Therefore, the power in the economy will shift from government and unscrupulous businessmen back to the consumers.
