If your heart tells you nga 500D then go for it, like you said you can always upgrade anytime you want dba? Most people here man gud are biased, the love your own brand mentality.

im buying the cam next month sa sg... its way cheaper compared here. i only said i can afford but i would still prefer the cheaper ones (naa pay lain nka line up sa budget ) . anyway i can upgrade man cguro anytime... akong 1st choice jud is the 500d...nagcge na ko read ug reviews and whatnots and im very excited to use one...murag i fell inlove with it over the weeks nya daghan sad ko nabasahan nga nice nga reviews dri from people who are using it...i guess nagdoubt lng ko if i shud go with my first choice or just go for the safer choice (wc is the pricey ones)...but even that is not a guarantee na nice jud ang pics kay depende ra sad sa person nga gagamit, dba?

and one more thing, nakita man ko sa mga pics diri gud na as in super nice and some mentioned about post processing... kailangn ba sya iphotoshop para ing ato ka nindot or ok lng ang raw pics pud?

sakto na imu gi ingun sis na its not sa cam ang ka nindot.. its within the user... naa man gli dnhi na mga photogs sad na d40 gamit nya ang output nila superd.. its within the user. hehe
post process enhance your photo, almost all the photo na gi pang post dnhi kay gi post process na. ehehe

ok ra na wui. heheh.. naa man sad daghn tutorial sa net. hehe try pangita sa google. hehe.. ^^ dont concentrate yourself in post process, instead sa basic sa photography, composition, exposure. etc.heheh

depende man gud na sa imo need whats your purpose of buying a dslr? i'm into portraiture pod, in my case i invest more on the lenses than the body. what important is how you compose and use the light.

na confuse na man ko oi...im thinking of buying a 500d with kitlens na 18-55 but nagkadugay na nibasa ko ani nga thread im starting to get the feeling na di sya kau nice na cam... unsa man jud? btw newbie pa ko so la ko idea unsa dapat. i can afford the more expensive (but not too expensive) ones but i prefer to get something reasonably priced na nindot sad ug quality since nagkat on pa man sad ko.

i also read somewhere na kailangan ug filter if you want to shoot the sun (?)... so if mu buy ko ug cam, unsa pa man akong kailangan maliban sa filter and sa kit lens?

cross the bridge when you get there... buy the stuff when the situation calls for it. Why would you buy something nga wala pa ka kahibalo gali mo gamit og DSLR... gamita una dayon by that time, you would have an idea unsay direcksyon ka punta.... mahilig ba ka og portrait....palit ka og mga accessories for portrati..... mahilig ka og landscape,cityscape.... palit ka og accessories..... sa macro...... you get the idea.

500d? aw payter japon nga cam babypaupau heheh dili sad ka magmahay ana nga cam, but kung makaya sa budget palit nlng ug d90 or 50d oi heheh mga 10-15k ra difference sa price against the 500d, and u get a midrange and a semi pro lvl camera, so you end up longer time to upgrade since your camera is very good na already hehe, maona that's the time you buy lens, flash, grips, strobes, filters, etc. to enhance your skill in this hooby hehehhe..that's all heheh and btw if you got your camera, just keep on shooting, mastera na bisan kitlens ra na or whatsoever hehehehehe..
