ex-vicious rumors axeman vinnie moore is another neo-classical metal shredder...i have 3 of his albums - mind's eye, time odyssey, & meltdown...malmsteen, moore, & stump surely fall under a common rock denomination...fave moore tracks - mind's eye, pieces of a picture, the tempest, morning star...i really dig his version of george harrison's 'while my guitar gently weeps'...so cool...

iron maiden is another 1 of my fave metal bands...& much like ronnie james dio, bruce dickinson has a very distinct voice & operatic singing technique where he tries to hurle his voice to the last guy at the very back of an audience...i had an lp of the number of the beast before...the rest of their album i have on tape...eddie has forever been maiden's mascot monster, in a way, & is the main model appearing in all of their album covers, as well as making cameo appearances on stage with maiden...i only have the ff maiden dvds - raising hell, visions of the beast, live after death, & the rock in rio dvd...

i didn't get to hear april wine & status quo bro, i guess i'm not that **d, aruy...hehe...maybe you've got something to share about those bands...any info is good info as long as it's rock info...hehe...

& though i heard some tapes of thin lizzy & foghat before, my memory fails me now, & i have completely forgotten what they sounded like (shame on me)...

sorry man no offensive intentions bout asking those early bands. their considered that classic. those names just came to my mind because that LP was placed near styx, yes, rush, black sabbath and acdc and their not really that radio friendly.. im sure youre familiar with paradise theatre. that record was and will always remain one of my mentors. songs like snowblind, lonely people, half penny two penny.. tommy shaw, dennis de young line up.. i got their reunion dvd. original bassist past away already..
i also like those operatic voices like bruce dickinson, dio. and deep-angry voices like bon scott, mark storace, early-brian johnson kind of styles. but rob halford is different among them. not only he is gay (i doubt it but some say he is) his high and low pitch singing matches kk and glen guitar arrangements. you can hear it on songs like beyond the realms of death and here comes the tears.

none taken bro!...i was just joking about my a*e & about how o*d i've really become...hehe...but i guess there's no denying it now...

i have always held priest with high regard & have always counted on them for scorching metal tracks...imagine my shock upon hearing news (rumor) about halford's sexual deviance!..now i know why he seems so naturally adept in holding the mic...hahaha...

yeah you're right bro, halford's singing voice really has a remarkable range (3 octaves?)...his vocal chops surely made priest a band to contend with...lucky for him he doesn't sound like geddy lee...hehe...that would've been 1 hell of a predicament...

the best of times is probably the only styx song i'm familiar with (1 more demerit for me)...i hate to admit but i really wasn't a fan of theirs...until now i often confuse some of their songs with air supply...hehe...but that's just me in my musically ignorant mode...hehe...(i do have my flaws, you know)...

& now that i mentioned geddy lee, rush is on my idol band list...moving pictures was my fave...my mind used to wander off whenever i listened to songs like tom sawyer, red barchetta...yyz was hot axe material in its time...& i found myself musing over this alex lifeson piece for quite a while...

rush is a great early prog rock band...& geddy lee's banshee whail certainly didn't keep me from enjoying countless hours of listening pleasure...

oh yeah, mr. roboto - double what you got for mr. roboto...is that correct? i remember that song...extensive airplay along with the best of times...before, i really thought that 'the best of times' was an air supply song...(pity me)...
