i kind of laughed at the propaganda material actually... so rhetorical.

for your own protection my rectal orifice.

militaries are there to protect the establishment and its dominant paradigms, not people.

    big difference. Deal with it.

and again resorting to ad hominem is childish.

If you can point out just 1 AD HOMINEM then feel free to do so . I kind of laughed at your post because you seem to have hard time distinguishing what a PROPAGANDA and a TRIBUTE is .

Your statement of protection for establishment rather than the people is actually the real score when we talk about BS . You know why ? You are looking at the small picture and refers to the military as GUNS , BOMBS and WAR MACHINES . Do you think in the Philippines , they are present because of the Abu Sayyaf activities there ?

The captain of that US ship captured by the Somali pirates would disagree with you, I bet. He's glad those SEALS have good aim. LOL

I suspect those near-death Jews in Auschwitz and other Nazi mass grave camps were plenty glad upon seeing the faces of those Allied soldiers.

Should another deranged person take it upon himself to continue Hitler's "noble deed" of "terminating" inferior humans (sub-humans), without the existence of a military, what do you propose we should do, grovestreet? Should we all study karate and taekwondo and fight off these crazies ourselves? Do you have a feasible plan? I need to be prepared, just in case.

I wonder if the older generation pinoys were relieved when Gen. McArthur ran off the Japs. I wonder how I would feel were I born in a Philippines under Japanese rule. I'd know how to make good sushi, that's for sure.

yes i am capable of of distinguising propaganda from a tribute piece, the fact that this piece of yours has an underlying message which makes people feel guilty for not supporting wars is enough for me to be convinced that it's propaganda.

Then which FACT of UNDERLYING MESSAGE would that be ? Point it out since you cant point out the ad hominems you think we throw at you , we'll change course instead and head to the core of the message . Its not even about making people feel guilty for not supporting wars , its about people who will be there no matter what for the price of freedom .

Have you seen the movie The Guardian ? If you did , it should not be that hard for you to logically say that analyzing a piece is a matter of a convcition if its a PROPAGANDA or a mere TRIBUTE with no strings attach and unconditional service .
