i agree with mcduaneski's points.

I know she has not focused on RELIGION but she is using RELIGION as a LEVERAGE to unleash her authoritarian , personal vested interest . I will bet my months pension right now to anyone , karon dayon naay mo organize ug BIKINI CONTEST compromising no FIESTA or RELIGIOUS ACITIVITY . Do you think bai manghilabot si GOVERNO basta dili lang STA.FE ang venue ? Hehehehe . Politically mtivated na bai . Nagpaka limpyo siya calling people hyppocrites and all who supports any form of degrading of women when in fact she hasnt figure dit out yet when she is in front of the mirror .
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
Really, all this hullaballoo on some fine ladies prancing around in their swimwear? If the governor wants to do something, then she better do it right away instead of running her mouth and prolonging this issue.
Again, sakto gyud ka sir. If mu-argue naman lang gani sila on the basis nga its offensive to the religion, then they should not limit themselves to this particular event. Equal Protection means equal protection. Kung sa Holy Week ra ni nila ipa-ban/restrict does that mean that Christmas, Immaculate Conception, etc. are less holy?
Being practical is a good thing, so lets try to think back. In the past or even now, how has this bikini contest affected you personally whether directly or indirectly in your commemoration of the Holy Week?
Have we not coexisted peacefully with these events in the past?
^sir, nagka anam na gyud siguro og ka cheap ang mga bikini opens. they have become repulsive na gyud siguro. kung di pa, walay daghan mo angal
Walay problema maam if sobra na ka repulsive kay kung mao man gani na, wala nay muadto ana. kung wala nay muadto, no more incentive to hold such events. diba
i agree with the governor to some degree... for those who believe in Christ, i think Holy Week should be a time for reflection and not for party... I don't think having a fashion show on a Holy Week is a good example of observing the passion and death of Jesus Christ..
ok ra ng bikini open oi malingaw man sad ta
Why is wearing bikinis in a private beach resort such a big deal?
Starting at 11 pm?
Holy Week lagi, pero it's not like makit-an na sila inig ka gawas sa mga tawo gikan sa Bisita Iglesia. Naa ra man tawon na sa beach. Ka ihaas na lang gyud or ka conservative or ka hypocritical na lang gyud natong mga taga Cebu. In Spain, puwede man gani na mag topless ang mga tawo. Inig ka Mardi Gras sa Brazil before Lenten Season, as in patch naman lang gani nang gisul-ob sa ilang dancers.
Unya diri ta mo concentrate sa atong efforts to condemn ug beachwear fashion show held inside a private property in the middle of the night? Beach going season man gud sa Philippines unya daghan mag beach inig Holy Week, start of summer/school vacation sa ato. So, makes sense siguro for the sponsors to aggressively sell swimming attire starting at this time.
IMHO, your prerogative if you don't like bikinis or bikini open, or you are the religious type to respect Holy Week. Ok ra gyud na. Pero to have a law that disallows anyone from wearing bikinis, even inside a private beach resort? But what's the big deal ba?
