Today, we commemorate the 112th Death Anniversary of Bro. Jose Rizal. All the four Lodges of Cebu Province attended the ceremony held at Cebu City Hall grounds. With us were also members of the Local Government, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, some students of the Cebu Normal University, and some NGOs. Also with us who attended were the members of the Knights of Rizal. After the program, we had breakfast at the office of the vice-mayor, who is also the acting mayor of cebu city, Hon. Mike Rama. I am thankful to be there to have participated in remembering one of the Greatest National Heroes of all time. A patriot, a doctor, a teacher, a widow's son, and a Mason, our Brother Jose Rizal.

I was in Cagayan de Oro at this time, the Masons of Cagayan de Oro were also in divisoria (where a statue of our national hero stands) commemorating another day of our national hero. Together with Former mayor now vice mayor Vicente Dongkoy Emano and other officials of the Government of Cagayan de Oro. Rizal, a Polyglot. the enemies (sorry for lack of a better word) of Bro. Rizal were not the Spaniards in entirety. there were a lot of Spaniards (mostly Masons and at the same time friends) who sympathized with Bro. Rizal in his dream of granting freedom to the Filipinos. it was the Spanish Friars he hated for their treachery and corruption.
