there will be no other michael jordan. there might be others who will be better than him but jordan is jordan.. people might be trying to compared players to jordan because of the legacy he left in the league and basketball world

It's obvious why people try to compare the new comers to Jordan. Jordan is simply the standard of excellence in basketball....

sa akong nakit an sa dinuwaan ni wade sa nba finals, right now he's the closest to jordan, better than kobe in decision making.

but overall mas maayo gihapon si kobe niya, but decision wise og maturity advantage si wade. thats why he's the closest to jordan right now. grabe siya sa playoffs.

and he also added, that if todays rules were applied in his era, esp in the NBA finals 1991 where he guards Magic Johnson, he said he's difinitely be fouling out in just five minutes.........

and he also said if he was still in his prime and if he has to guard Kobe in todays rule, he wont last a quarter, fould out gyud siya......

and I think Pippen got a point there, look at the NBA eastern finals in 1993 against the Knicks, tan awa unsa ka physical si Oakley, Starks, Mason, mura na nila patyon si Jordan sa ila Karubo........

same with the Pistons, puwerting robaha...... pero karon mahikapan lng gamay fould dayon......

Pippen also said, that Jordan earned his 30 in hardway , back in the day when a player scores a 40 points, headline na kuno sa news, but now a player can score 40 in a half, thats how weak the defense is.....

imagine Jordan in his prime in todays rules.........will he score a 100, of course maybe be more, but pippen added hes not gonna do that coz phil jackson wont allow him.... bec. his teamates will difinitelly think that they are not worthy........
wow... that would answer the question, who's gonna be the next Jordan? and that is NOBODY. its been the answer in such a long time.
hmmm..i say in a matter of decades we can have another JORDAN..a CLONED one that is =)

the topic is titled 'failed mj heirs'.. thers a lot. but if i would pick a very close heir to mj's success? that would be shaquille o'neal. yes they play different, shaq is a center, a dominant big man who hardly hits free throws while mj is a 6-foot-6 guard who gives fans real entertainment. why i picked shaq? well, he's got an mvp ring, in the season and finals (3) and even in the all-star game. he has bought each of the teams he played into the finals (orlando, lakers, and miami). shaq never played in a losing team, he never had a losing season all throughout his career. like mj, he has played in the USA team. he also has a scoring title, although not that much compared to mj. that why i picked him closest to mj

cant argue jordan was d best during his time...we cant compare him to the players now a days... one reason is that the style of play isnt the same... nowadays man gud grabeh na kaau ang defensive pressure due to the more athletic players... even kobe, tmac nd vince are settling jump shots kay eassier na man gud... pero still hands down ako kay jordan... pero even though retired na cya daghan ghapon good players like lebron nd wade.... naa ra sa ila 2 kng kinsa mahimong best player of today...
