I do believe that not everything has to be biblical.

Yes it should, but biblical in the sense that you do not interpret the bible on your own.
The bible is a complex collection of books which was translated from an ancient language.
Considering Culture evolution, we cannot fully associate our language interpretation with theirs.

That is what is happening with the different denominations. The people try to interpret the bible in whatever ways they think they can. They end up holding the bible over their heads and say "the bible says the bible says!"

But the question is not what the bible says, but rather, what the bible means.
