Hey, whats the use of defending it without justifying it. We say this is is immoral. you seem to disagree. Then tell us what makes it moral.

    Kana ra bay.
i didn’t say anything at all that a relationship between two guys is moral. if that was your impression, i pity your comprehension.

wala lang. i just want to defend the movie because i want to and i was just speaking my mind out just as you were all speaking your minds out. simple as that. i raise a point, i get rebuttals and i raise another point again. mura ra gud nig debate. i like making someone inferior for having such opinion, as shallow as that.

honestly i don’t want to reply to this because it will only prove useless and it would just waste my time. i tend to have disorderly thoughts. i know most of you will not and will never learn to understand the movie as you will not and will never understand homosexuals and homosexuality.

just because something is odd, don’t act like you’re the total judge. most straight people do that all the time. when it comes to gays and lesbians alike, most of you act like we are rejects from hell or freaks of nature and we totally understand that because we know (as part of what you brainlessly call the “third sex”) we are different. someone even said that gays and lesbians are a disgrace to the human race...yeah right, like you heterosexuals are perfect. look who's talking. i'll tell you what. we know we do not belong to the usual xx and xy crowd. we get everything from mockery, humiliation, condemnation, rejection, physical and verbal abuse, insults, and some of us even die just because we are acting out on our ‘immoral and unacceptable’ emotions. you may have experienced these things but you don’t know what it’s like to be one of us. you don’t know what it feels like.

this movie was meant to portray that love happens to everyone, even between two men or two women. i know you might be laughing at that statement and for you that is ultimately insane and unacceptable and stupid. i for one believe that love is for everyone. love sees no boundaries, color, age, social status or gender. love is not exclusive to heterosexual people and if that shocks you, well you can start preaching until your mouth dries but it will never change a thing. like what i wrote in my previous posts, it does not indoctrinate and it just wanted to present human realities. someone said the movie presented something that was taboo. taboos are realities as well, and if it makes them crazy that people talk about it or movies show something about it, so be it. i couldn’t care at all. for me, brokeback mountain isn’t just what it seems. it’s a very human story of what's not acceptable in most of our society, even today.

if society weren’t as barbaric to gay people back then, there wouldn’t have been suffering wives such as alma del mar (michelle williams) and there wouldn’t be gay people in denial and hiding in their closets. and yes, because of their infidelity, jack and ennis suffered. their relationship was doomed. one of them died and the other got old all alone and faced an uncertain future.

i cannot blame most of you if the conservative philippine society has entirely influenced your view on these things. i didn’t know loving a fellow human being is immoral. you can start throwing verbal daggers at me for having poor morals, if that’s what your standards say. it wouldn't make me flinch at all.

and for the record, i have straight guy and girl friends who saw the movie and have been moved.

    enough of my non-sense. bow...

some of you will say that the movie is immoral... maybe it is, but we must accept the fact that what was shown in the movie is also happening in our society... it is reality. it shows kung unsa sad ang mga feelings sa gays and lesbians out there. even if they are not straight, they are still capable of loving. they also have the right to be happy. sayop na kung sayop, but they know kung unsa ang consequences sa ilang actions. its not easy being in their shoes. dili lang unta ta judgemental kaayo...

i'm straight, but i like the movie a lot. the story moved me.

sorry for being ot: i just want to be clarified on your post. when you say that you believe that there should be no age boundaries in love, are you saying that okay sa imo ang pedophilia?

pedophilia is not love even if you would argue that the word philia is a a greek term for love. ...and no, i don't approve of it. i should have specified that love between someone who is 22 and someone who is 29 is something that shouldn't be argued upon. there are relationships that have age gaps between partners but that doesn't hinder them from expressing themselves.
