Finally, something good for the New York Knicks.

People close to Jerry West has said about West's interest in running the New York Knicks. West himself still didn't answer the question because the Knicks management hasn't contacted him yet, it is apparent that the 69 year old famed basketball player and executive is interested and intrigued about the Knicks. West looks as the Knicks as a challenge, very intrigued by the fan support the city gives, the prestige in taking the job, and noticed how the city embraced the Giants after winning the Super Bowl XLII.

Knicks owner James Dolan said that he's open in bringing in West to the Knicks. Rumors will be rumors not until something is done but at least after all this time, something good is surfacing from the Knicks.

Jerry West's notable achievements as an executive:

    Los Angeles Lakers

    1979-82 - special consultant
1982-2000 - general manager and president for basketball operations
    8 NBA titles
1995 NBA Executive of the year

**Selected Earvin "Magic" Johnson as the first pick in the 1979 Draft
**Traded Don Ford and a first round pick to Cleveland in February 1980 for Butch Lee and the Cavaliers' 1982 first round pick which became number 1 pick James Worthy
**Traded Norm Nixon and Eddie Jordan to San Diego for Byron Scott and Swen Nater on October 1983
**Traded Vlade Divac to the Charlotte Hornets on July 11, 1996 to acquire the draft rights of Kobe Bryant. Days later, the Lakers signed free agent Shaquille O'Neal.
**Hired Phil Jackson as head coach in June 1999

    Memphis Grizzlies

2002-07 - president of basketball operations
2004 NBA Executive of the Year

**Hired Hubie Brown as head coach in November 2002. Brown led the Grizzlies to a 50 win season and went on to make it to the playoffs for 3 straight seasons. Memphis is knocked out in the first round in all three playoffs appearances.

The Mavericks will be facing 7 winning teams in their next 10 games (San Antonio, Phoenix, Denver, Utah, Los Angeles Lakers, and twice against Golden State).

The Cavs traded Newble to the Seattle SuperSonics last month, but never gave away his locker. Newble was eligible to rejoin the Cavs on Tuesday.
The Cavs still have one open roster spot that they may fill by early next week.

although it's a bad new for CAVS fans, but i think it's a good decision for Ira, Lakers could use him.. I feel bad when he just sits on the bench....
i dont know what ira newble is thinking because he only sign a 10 day contract on the los angeles lakers camp i dont know if cleveland offered him a spot for the rest of the season or he just wants to play with kobe rather than lebron

ira newble's contract was not a 10-day contract... but rather a contract for the rest of the season... there are still 14 games remaining in the lakers calendar... aside from that, he is also eligible to play for the lakers in the playoffs, in case trevor ariza won't heal on time...
