tolstoi, there are cases wherein some special tools are needed to achieve certain things. But in general, any camera can produce good results in the right hands. For macro shots, having an SLR and a Macro Lens is an advantage... but most point and shoot cameras have a Macro Mode built in which more or less, does the job to a certain extent...

@tolstoi - nope...as beor said, any camera can produce good results with the right composition and technique. high-end cameras offer more control if you need it.....

thanks for the reply mga bossing..^^ it's really amazing how a simple subject such as an empty cup can turn to a masterpiece thru digital photography..that is if yu have the talent

tolstoi, if there's something I have, it isn't talent. trying hard lang ^_^ it is better to post your photos so others can give you constructive comments and will help you improve... same thing with me before, my macro shots weren't that good yet... but as I posted and others gave feedback, I learned a lot and improved...

hey beor, can you please see this llink <<http://megaweb.clubsnap.org/articles...versed_35mmf2/>> ... it uses only a canon A70 pro nindot kaau iya mga macro shots. kato na setup ba, mapalit ra tanan parts ato dri cebu? and how much would it cost? i have a canon A610 and i think pwede sd ni cya ato na setup. would i reli need a slave flash in macro mode? cge ko try macro mode w/ flash pro ma-overexposed mn ang pic.
