New Rubicon Plans
June 24, 2016. Rubicon plans are currently offered to existing subscribers only. This is not yet available for new line applications. ETA for official announcement of the said plans is within this year.
May 31, 2016. Please be guided that the update last May 6 is not officially announced by Globe, and just a few days ago, it turns out that only existing loyal subscribers under DSL plan will be getting the Plan 1299 and 1599 under Rubicon. For LTE subscribers like me (or us), only Plan 699 and 999 will be offered. I greatly wonder why Globe will be doing this. This move will not favor both the consumer and quality of internet service here in the Philippines under the so called “LTE” service that can only offer upto 5mbps under the “new and improved plans”? Hopefully, things will be different once Rubicon or “Right Size” plans will be officially and publicly announced. All we can do now LTE subs, is wait and hope for the better.
May 6, 2016. This is rumored for more than a month, and pretty sure it will be announce publicly in a few days. Here are the new plan scheme:
Plan 699 – 3mbps, 30gb per month (Spotify for 3 months) + Google Chromecast
Plan 999 – 5mbps, 50gb per month (HOOQ, Spotify for 3 months) + Google Chromecast
Plan 1299 – 10mbps, 100gb per month (HOOQ, Spotify & NBA for 3 months) + Google Chromecast
Plan 1599 – 15mbps, 150gb per month (HOOQ, Spotify & NBA for 3 months) + Google Chromecast
June 15, 2016. As confirmed by several loyal customers who already upgraded to the new plans, the throttling will remain the same at 30% of subscribed speed. So let’s say, for 5mbps plan, speed will go down to 1.5mbps when monthly allocation has been consumed.
What do you think about the new plans? Is it worth the upgrade?
for me, it is worth it... checked my usage for the past 12 months, wala gyud ko ni abot og 150gb, naa ra sa 90gb pinaka taas... average siguro naa sa 70gb...
pero ambot how they define "loyal"... ingon sila at least 2 years kuno... 3 years nako, no bad accounts nor delayed payments, di man kuno ko qualified kay kulang kuno rewards points... way klaro nila oi... oh well, don't need the speed bump man nuon, but definitely a "very" nice to have...
internet sucks here in malaysia

Hi xxxxxxxxxx,
I am sorry to inform you that we do not offer Rubicon plans yet. On the other hand, we can forward your request to our loyalty department for other plans nearly identical to Rubicon.
Before the upgrade, let me just remind you that your credit limit must be higher than your preferred plan's credit monthly service fee (MSF). In liner with this, I have forwarded a request for your increase of credit limit from Php xxxxxx to Php xxxx . Here is your reference number.. xxxxxxxx xxx xxx xx We advise you to monitor for the feedback in 24hours.
For the meantime, feel free to email us anytime should you need further assistance.
Thank you, have a nice day!

Hays gisapot gyud kos Rubicon Plan 1599 15mbps nila, currently subscribed ko ani nga plan and I am only experiencing 6mbps+ speed since nakuha nako ni nga plan, suppose to be kaabot ni'g 9mbps kapin. I have a feeling nga nagdepende ni sa area since medyo layo mi sa "cabinet" nila, murag lugi man ko ani.
6mbps? ka swerte na ana. suppose to be 30% man gani ta na so naa ra na sa 4.5mbps +/- 80% pa
