I know there are genius pinoys out there na naay idea nga makabuhat ug warplanes na
bisan makeshift lang.. and the bombs to be installed in the warplanes? I think kaya man pud

theres alot of genius.. but not alot of experience in that field. naa ba pinoy nga rocket scientist? jet propulsion engineer or somewhat here? and think about the cost sa trial and error. the research would deem too expensive than just buy what is already in the market

kaya gane nato mga pinoy nga makabuhat ug Public Utility Jeepneys using outdated and sometimes centuriesold na mga kotse just like Willy's jeep and other cars kana pa kahang warplanes? hehe..

Just my imagination, who knows if someday pinoys can modify Cessna planes into lethal warplanes that are more durable and can withstand our weather conditions. And the armaments can be just made using ordinary explosives like dynamite or RPG type of rockets.. hehe.

It sounds too naive but who knows if one day naay another generation na mga pinoys na mag improve ana. hehehe.

you may be right.. pero who knows what the future may bring us di ba? Kung ang intentions lang sa pagbuhat ug warplane is for counter insurgency problems like NPA, Abu sayyaf and MILF and other radical groups I think an aerodynamics engineer could be enough na siguro to pursue on this kind of warplane.. I'm not an expert, and that is just only my opinion ha. Kung imo intentions sa pagbuhat ug warplane is for border protection just like in the case of spratly islands is I think a difficult thing to pursue in making such specific warplane.. but as what I have said, who knows what the future may bring us..basin diay naay pinoy be nga makabuhat ug multi-role na warplane na halos kapareho ug capabilities sa mga western standards in a cheap cost..

one might see this in terms of perspective.

if we are only to compare the technology how our Air Force is doing compared to our neighbors, it is pretty obvious we are somewhere at the bottom of the list (as what a number of people here on this thread have already expressed).

this comparison, however accurate can completely disregard certain realities that we are not suppose to ignore, namely our economic priorities. we simply cannot afford advanced weaponry as a deterrent to foreign invasion.

second, the state's military problem is not foreign occupation, but guerrilla insurrection. high-tech fighter planes are quite useless against these. precision bombers might be more useful however, as long as it is able to establish its targets inside jungles.

pwede kaayo!! di ba mao man pud na dahilan mao na inspired ang mga
western especially mga americans ug israeli na magbuhat ug mga drones?
because of the remote control accessories that we already used in our daily
lives na encourage sila na magbuhat ug mga something remotely controlled
gadgets just like drones to minimize casualties from soldiers and to gave precise accuracy of target combatants.

sa pag gamit ug mga remote control gadgets siguro maka innovate na man ang uban sa atong mga pinoy ana ba in developing warplanes that can be useful to fight insurgents na low casualties..

Ang Iran nagbuhat na ana in a low cost system, Israel naa pud sila, China naa pud mga drones na ila ra gi sekreto and some countries pa nga nagagamit ug drones na wala lang ta nakabalo bisan sa internet...

bay ang pag ambition ug modern aircraft is not only for preparation of war (either civil war or invasion).
having modern aircraft is also used to help people in times of disasters and calamities
just like typhoon, earthquakes and other natural and man-made disasters.

and besides bay having a modern aircrafts is just like owning a knife.. you either use it for cooking or killing life. of course using a knife, majority will use it for cooking rather than killing di ba? murag ana lang gud nga point.
