FIMO, MFPI, SPMF; they're all the same. Replicating the same hobby or interest or sport or whatever. I thought the Union of International Alpinists Association (UIAA) describes mountaineering as an activity done above 4... meters above sea level?

Sir Pinoyapache, there' still difference with MFPI and FIMO. MFPI is a legit fed composed of responsible mountaineer officers including all the old time legends. FIMO is composed of non-mountaineers... mere organizers. It's a shame that some of the mountaineers I know are joining this pamemera climb. It's ok sana kung they just advertise a FREEDOM climb without the enticement of treeplanting and world record. They lied to attract participants. Which what made this event so very wrong and can be considered a SCAM since I have heard that GUINNESS is denying knowledge of the bid. Maybe I would take effort one of these days to verify their partnership with DENR.

I hope next year this won't happen again... hopefully there will be a responsible nationwide outdoor event that will be held on same date sa Freedom climb.

PS: We can all do an independence climb without paying dues. Let's keep mountaineering.... greed and corruption free!

speaking of freedom climb, what happened? some friends of mine were curious and asked about it. I was not not quite excited about it and had no intention of joining so i was not able to help them. anyone knows what came of it?

hoooyaaahhh!..keep those spirits high and continue to fight what is JUST right for mother nature..after all, CLIMATE CHANGE is inevitable!..nobody is exempted..I am encouraging everyone to do more ACTIONS for mother earth!..let's do our share > may it be little or HUGE..
