I can't be considered a turntable enthusiast, as a matter of fact my direct drive turn table costs less than the Nag MP-110 cartridge you're using in your Mk5 but still, its a Technics SL-QL5. An untrained "audiophile" can't tell it's a cheapo. All they see is brand and goes wow Technics! I'm keeping a turntable because I have quite a few LPs and and my interior decorator (wife) insists that if my favorite ODDS and ENDS LP is on display, I better have a spinner next to it. I had a Pioneer turntable before, not a cheapo but it was belt drive and having my house near sea water was hard on the rubber belt and it deteriorated fast.
