Ethan using Brona's necklace to do the exorcism was so deus ex machina. Hahays.

We do know Ethan is a runaway who was involved in some war with the Native Americans. He has also mentioned being fascinated by a Anasazi painting. Either he learned lycanthropy—if he has lycanthropy—or he could have been cursed by some Native American.

Are you referring to Ethan's war story in his show? Vanessa pointed that out in the first episode. She said he couldn't be in that war because he is still a child by then or the war story is just a lie for the show.

Oh well. So far all the werewolf theories are still just theories. Then there's his exorcism skills. Putting his hands inside a wolf's mouth. Waking up in ditches without memories of the night before. Lingering in crime scenes.

Speaking of the mysterious deaths, those seemed to have been sidetracked.
