With respect to SEA, china just wants to control the west philippine/south china sea. I highly doubt there is any oil under those waters, its probably a ruse by the US to stir things up and destablize the whole region. There was a report from MVP that was leaked by Trillanes that alleges that there actually is no huge energy reserves under that area(this was related to trillanes being a back door negotiator for the territory row with china).

I don't know what china gains by invading the philippines, although they have been extracting our mineral resources illegally with the collusion of corrupt officials, I don't see the need for china to launch a full-scale invasion into the philippines. Our corrupt culture is more than enough to convince them that they really don't have much to worry about in terms of out ability to strike at them defensively and incur significant damage.

Do you really want a Chinese military bases just 200 kilometers from our coast and within our territorial waters? China is claiming the whole South China Sea to the detriment of everyone that lives along it. Malampaya oil field, located off the coast of Palawan along the disputed Spratly's, provides 15% of our oil consumption. We might as well cede it to the Chinese.

Wow. Never did I say I was promoting Youtube videos in my comments. Stop sniffing on your uncle's underwear for Pete's sake.

The links you gave are obviously fake. Pastebin is a type of website mainly used by programmers to store pieces of source code or configuration information, but anyone can basically share any type of text, fake or not. Is this what you call truth?

    Imho.
This is a very big issue which you and i don't actually fully understand.
While some of us here may refute these statement, in the grand scheme of things, nobody outside of the inner circle knows what is true and what is false.

Perhaps it is still too fresh on our minds what the Bush administration before was saying all about Iraq's nuclear program. It lead to almost all nations, save the muslim nations, into believing that indeed Sadaam Hussein has the nuclear capabilties that will cripple the western world. Now did they find anything? Nada as in Zero, Nil, Null, Wala
IMO these same thing is happening now.

Meantime read what Putin all has to say; " Attempts to bypass the Security Council, once again to create artificial groundless excuses for a military intervention in the region are fraught with new suffering in Syria and catastrophic consequences for other countries of the Middle East and North Africa," a Russian foreign ministry spokesman said.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, said more concisely on Twitter that: "The West behaves towards the Islamic world like a monkey with a grenade."
Iran, Syria's main regional ally, said Western action would threaten the stability and security of the region.

America should not make the same mistake these time because some of those within the inner circle knows the game.

Now let us exchange their shoes. America releases some CW in one of its states. Would the western world and the Arab and Persian Gulf states raise any plans of attacking the U.S. I bet my f*#@ing a$$ nobody will ever raise the issue lest they be accused of meddling in its internal affairs. See?

Is this planned strike by the U.S on Syria legal if without any UN backing? Isn't it that the use of force is only legal when it is in self-defense or with Security Council authorization?
And where are the irrefutable proofs?
Is Mr. Obama trying to be the bully of the world?

dexterdal, nimention about China invading the Philippines.

No need to invade philippines kay naa na ang mga insik dire sa sulod making use of our resources. Dili na kailangan ipa-agi ug invasion pa. Corruption na gipa-agi sa mga insik.

War Drums are starting to roll..

House leaders line up behind Obama
Earlier Tuesday, the leaders of both parties in the House of Representatives emerged from a White House meeting earlier Tuesday to support Obama's call for American strikes.
House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, told reporters the use of poison gas was "a barbarous act" to which only the United States is capable of responding. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, added that Washington must respond to actions "outside the circle of civilized human behavior."
