Miss universe has become a circus.
I'm not surprised by the answer from the cebu gay community saying its perfectly ok and you go girl! There's just so many gays here. The comments from people in other visayan provinces like bohol, bacolod, etc, is that cebu has so many gay guys and Cebu is the Thailand of the Philippines as mentioned in this viral video.

Sorry, there's no discrimination against gays in this pageant. Gays are good hard working people but unless you can transfer your soul to a womans body and give life to another person, there's no way a male would be female and vice versa.

We deeply know that they aren't real women but what they are fighting for really are equality of rights -- meaning a transgender woman has the same rights with a real woman. However, prior achieving that right they need to prove that their state of mind goes well with the gender they choose -- as such they need to undergo psychological tests and complete change (name, gender, organ, hormones, etc.). Failure to prove will mean that they have gender identity disorder. So if being a transgender does not cause distress or there is contentment with the chosen gender then these are indicators of having a legal state of mind. This is the case of Jenna T. From an early age of 4, she knows that she is a female under a male's body. And to emphasize that more, she completely lived as a woman. Her gender in her licenses and passports are female, her name was changed from Walter to Page to Jenna, she has a boyfriend, and a lot more things to consider.

Classification does not mean there is no equality of rights. If we give the same rights to transgenders vis-a-vis women are you saying we should also give them maternity leave and benefits, and other leaves available to women due to other "women problems". Should a trangender like a woman be given benefit to invoke PMS if s/he killed her partner? The difference between transgender and women is not a legal fiction, there are differences because of their biological make-up. Giving them the same employee benefits received by real women is possible. Of course it would take a lot of consideration when it comes to that matter. If I'm not mistaken, there are a lot of legislation in U.S. that protects transgender people especially when it comes to their employment.
