i'm a literature grad in CNU and before we have this subject Oral Literary Tradition... with this subject we tackle diff. urban legends as these are examples of Oral Literature...they were passed on to diff generations orally... although these stories were truly corrupted through years... bec. sometimes ang original na story dili na mao kung muagi na ug lain2x nga baba.... makuhaan/mapun-an...
we even have this book that was authored by one of the famous historians... he was a Spanish Historian/Priest who came here in Cebu and made a book of what SUGBU was during the Old Times (Before and During the Spanish Era)... and ang iya ra gibutang ani na book are the things he has personally seen... scanning through the pages of this book we found out something that caught our attention and interest... a drawing of a half man, half fish and under it is a word familiar to us ~ KATAW (merman)... the historian must have personally seen it for it to be included in his book...

and AGTA they are not the large EVIL creatures who hurt humans that we think they are right now...before, yes they are those large, dark creatures that sits on large trees but it is said that once you befriend them, they'll be at your command... they'll protect you and bring you luck...

maybe these creatures truly exist before... maybe until now... we are not sure of that...
but one thing is certain there are a lot of things in this world that we can not explain... actually we don't really have to explain them... we just have to have faith... they've been a part of our culture and a part of history... HIS STORY...

and i have personal experiences and stories to tell with/about the unknown as well... i don't have the "gift"... but I'm one of the few who have seen some...
