Proposed reclassification of cars:
Cars will be classified as STOCK, SUPERSTOCK and MODIFIED. We will categorize the car class by car size and not engine displacement any more. (reason: For autocross car size matters more than engine size). Factory performance cars such as Evos/Sti's, bmw m3s, celica gt4, skyline gtrs etc will not be allowed to join the stock class.
Example of stock class.
Small Stock : honda Jazz, Toyota Starlet, Suzuki Alto, Toyota Aris
Medium Stock : Corolla, Civic, Lancer, Mazda3, bmw 3series
Heavy Stock : Eclipse, Altima, Maxima, Accord, bmw 5&7 series
For stock class we will allow one "upgrade" only. More than one upgrade will put you on superstock class.
What is considered an upgrade?
1. Slick tires (even if just only on the front)
2. Adjustable Coil over suspension (lowered coil spring is not considered and upgrade)
3. Engine swap to performance engine
4. Lightened cars (removed seats, interior etc, If you car has been drastically lightened)
Here are some examples:
1. Honda jazz with slicks only, I will be on stock class.
2. Honda jazz with slicks and coil over adjustable suspention - superstock class
3. Honda jazz with slicks, coil overs and lightened - modified class
1. Honda Civic with B16 engine - stock class
2 Honda Civic with B16 engine, and no more seats and interior - superstock
3 Honda Civic with B16 engine, no seats and interior and slicks - modified
All these are just proposals.....we will finalize and give documentation of proper rules...we hope to get some comments!!!
