It would be suitable and humane to place them on their own display tanks of at least a gallon or better yet, a standard 2.5 gallon for the males since you can place your females together in a community tank...

Placing them on jars and cups are a travesty! It does not do justice to their magnanimous and unfathomable beauty! Plus, they are just soooo damn interesting to be placed on cups for chrissake!^^

Thats what really bugs me ... kana bitaw i isulod lang sila sa garapon or cups hehehe . Luoy kaau .

With the recent mutations today, it would be best to isolate them since their gorgeous fins would be easily damaged on a community tank especially for the Prima Dona Halfmoons...

Hey you can place their tanks side by side so that they can flare at each other and card (block their view) after 30 mins twice a day so they can exercise and establish a pecking order in your barracks...

True .... sayang man pod ang tank if only 1 BETTA is inside to avoid its beauty of what we call " MAGUBA ang POISE " hehehe .

Their natural habitat are the murky, oxygen-depleted, shallow rice paddies of Thailand... In fact the whole damn country is addicted to Bettas!^^

Sa THAILAND ra na sila endemic or some other SE Asian nations ?

Ma relate man gud nako sila sa birds gud , if one truly appreciates the beauty of it , let it enjoy its airspace and for the BETTAS , they probably would need also the " WATERSPACE " . I already am starting to like it because of its beauty but I cant afford yet a tank to house it .
