Cross eyed, use hotspotshield for the proxy, not really sure if thats what your looking for. About sa updates, lisod e.troubleshoot if from dri ra.

Try and flash a custom firmware called whited00r..optimized firmware for iphone 2g and 3g. It has a built in app store called timemachine to support iphones with lower firmware. I use it alot for my customers..so its been tested and approved by me...haha
