Thread: Miami Heat

    Interesting piece from Pat Riley:

Point guard is perhaps the biggest point of intrigue for Miami, with Riley suggesting there will be time when the Heat play without a true one on the court -- no surprise there, considering Wade, James and Miller are all fine ballhandlers. Miami re-signed last year's point guard starter in Carlos Arroyo and has former starter Mario Chalmers still recovering from an offseason ankle sprain.

"It wouldn't be something that would be a stretch for anybody," Riley said. "Wouldn't be a stretch for Dwyane to play that position. It would not be a stretch for LeBron. LeBron was basically a natural point guard until he was 15, 16 years old. ... So it isn't something that he has to learn."

Kung maka draw ka ug defense down low, you're considered a lowpost threat.
Bisag unsa pa ng porma nimo: lowpost then faceup, hookshot, off the dribble, powerdunk, fadeaway whatsoever.

Considering Bosh as a non-lowpost guy (kay wangkig kaayo) is absurd.

The "Q Score" of Heat swingman LeBron James rates him as the sixth-most-disliked figure in American professional sports, according to CNBC.

The Q Scores Company, which conducts popularity polls, has James currently viewed in a negative light by 39 percent of the general population.
In terms of athletes he's behind only Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, golfer Tiger Woods, Bengals receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco and Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.

James' favorable rating since a similar poll in January has dropped 41.6 percent.

I was wondering ug naay effecto ang gihimo ni Lebron James sa voting unya sa All-Star, for years consistent man ni siya na usa sa may highest votes ... What you think?

Si Kobe naa man sa List, pero I think lahi man ng kay Kobe.

    Most Hated Sports Figure
    Q Score

    1. Michael Vick
    2. Tiger Woods
    3. Terrell Owens
    4. Chad Ochocinco
    5. Kobe Bryant
    6. LeBron James

    -------------------------------

Kobe has always been on that list but he has never missed an All-Star selection since forever.

So I don't think it will affect LeBron either.

Hated, yes. But (sadly) his POPULARITY will still be his ticket to being an All-Star starter.

I think kanang kay Lebron, many people disliked him for not being loyal, being selfish, fame whore, etc.

Kay Kobe, it is totally different naman.

But, yes probably people, especially katong dili jud ga follow closely sa NBA, will vote base sa name recognition lang.

i would still vote for lebron not because HE CHOSE to leave the cavs but because of his talent.. simple answer... you may hate him because of his decisions but you gotta see the other side of him which is a terrific basketball player. and gotta admit its not gonna be the same when lebron aint playing.
