How much does an F1 goat sell? Lets say 3T.(which is realistic)
3T is not clean, it has been raised at least 6 months from birth.
So there are expenses on food, pellets, housing, deworming.
Let's say, a monthly expense of 500. (which is also realistic)
500X6months=3,000. It cancels out. You really are not earning.
but why am i earning? hehe

goat raising is not just a business. it's about love for goats/animals and such. i am not even selling meat/chevon but i am earning.

Yes, goat raising is more of a hobby than a business. I wouldn't argue with it.
Are you taking into consideration the investment & the day to day expenses?
Because we usually have the wrong math in bznz.

But there's a layman's way of determining if the venture is really a business.
If the business can support family needs & wants without any help from other sources, then that's a business.

Say, you have 2 children, and family monthly income needs to be at least 30T a month to support basic needs.
So the bznz needs to generate a clean 30T/month after ROI.
If you can have a clean profit of 3T per F1, then you need to sell at least 10 goats a month.

Young males are better for meat and they're also cheaper because breeders only want to keep the does. Also don't spend 20T on a house- it's too hard to earn back that much from goats. Buy roofing material from a junkshop, try to find second hand wood like from someone demolishing an old house. Goats aren't picky! Have your caretaker cut native bamboo for the walls and floor. All in all it should only cost a few thousand.
All this depends on already having land with vegetation the goats can eat. Don't even think about buying or leasing land. Ideally you already have or know someone who has idle farmland. The good thing about goats is that they can eat plants growing on the side of mountains, on rocky unfertile land, in ravines, the side of road, etc. So you can get some use out of otherwise useless land.
Finally, don't spend much money on feeds. Native hybrids can survive just fine on browse and grass as long as there is enough protein in the vegetation. They won't grow as fast as if you give them commercial feed every day, but who cares if you're not spending anything on upkeep. High breed and milk goats are a different story- they really require supplemental concentrate.
After six months slaughter all your goats and sell the meat.
That's how you raise goats as a small scale business. Cut out every single unnecessary expense and squeeze out a profit.
nice kaayo pag.kaexplain ..ani dapat buhaton ..for sure mokita jud...

This is a good argument about having profit or not. In my experience it took me 2 years for trial and error in goat raising which prostrate me at first and also challenge me on how to get my money back. For two (2) years of trial and error I found out that no ROI in terms of money but my herd is upgraded and increasing from a 4 heads native goats to having anglo nubian in my backyard which the cost is more expensive that the native goats. With the result of my 2 years trial and error I found it interesting and makes me exert more effort to discover more techniques in raising goats. So for goat lovers go for it and ready to face challenges along your goat endeavor.......mehehehehehehehehehehehehe......... ...............
