naa ba kaha antibody check para sa dogs? i know naa sa human like hepatitis.

if mishandled ang vaccine unsaon na lang, ang annual na 5-in-1 (after the series of shots) is just a booster, right? so i think di cya enough mkadevelop ug antibodies...
antibodies will develop at least 2 weeks after exposure to the vaccine. but the question there is if the titer is high enough to ward off an infection. yes sir, the annual vaccine is just a booster shot, but if high titer na ang antibodies sa dog, sufficient enough na nah ang booster. whats important is the timing of the booster shots given or the spacing of the dose when the dog was still a pup.

naka read ko sa usa ka forums sa gawas nah mu quantitate sila sa titer sa antibodies sa dog, i dont know ngare sa ato though

murag e quantitate man cguro diri i dunno sa mga vet.but ang difference gud sa human (baby) ug dog (puppy) as far sa akong nahibaw-an kay ang sa dogs, makarecieve na sila ug immunity inside the tummy pr womb sa Dam pero mo fade ra pod dayon na sa dog ang immunity after weeks not like sa bata nga dugay mo last mao gani magpavaccine ka sa human kay monthly sa dogs weeks lang.so i think dapat gyud e quantitate ang titer kay basin paggawas pa lang sa puppy wala na siyay immunity.but i dunno about dogs, mao pod gani curious kaayo ko about dogs.

nice post sir francis! dghan pod ko nakat-unan karon.

your welcome sir nutley. glad to be able to help fellow dog lovers.

from what i have read sir kay mao gi space rana ug 2 weeks ang vacinnation sa pup kay to make sure nah naka develop dyud ug antibody ang pup kay la man daw assurance nah ang pups immunity well developed nah ig age ug 6 weeks nila, so mao mag re vaccinate ig 8 weeks to make sure nah na expose dyud ang immunity sa dogs sa vaccine na gihatag.

really interesting, finally someone talked about spacing here. wen i got my pup, spacing for the 5-in-1 shots he got was about a month. now advise sa amo vet kay 2 weeks ra daw dapat, so unsa jud sakto?

and btw, 4 ka shots na 5-in-1 tanan ang nahatag sa ako pup. does it matter? or is it advisable or not?

    appreciate sharing your thoughts...

para dali sir, i vaccinate at 6 weeks old, then 8 weeks old, then 12 weeks old, then 6 months old, then 1 year old ang pup. then after that kay once a year booster shot na daun

that's ok bai, your posts are sensible and logical enough. anyways, i'll just check with our vet about what we're talking here kay mura la nafollow sa ako pup ang spacing na imo gi-ingon. so we'll just assess the risks...

yup i 2ndd!!! its ok ra sir francis.we are here to share our ideas and point of view.mao gani ganahan ko ani na thread kay useful kaayo like me as a dog lover.

so u mean sir francis u give shots to your pups lang by yourself? no vet required?

  10. #1260
i have my vet that will give the shots sad sir oe he..he.., its not allowed by law that non vet practitioners administer the shots. but i usually follow this schedule of vaccines. what i do is i only contact my vet for the said shots and insist on the said schedule.

the problem with self administration of vaccine is where to get supply of the said vaccine, and the issue of how the vaccine was handled during transpo and storage by the supplier. from my experience, usually, those non vet vaccines are the common source of mishandled vaccines. my logic on these is that kung ang vet ang mu administer sa vaccine, naa sila accountability sa said vaccine so most probably, their vaccines are properly handled,if non vet, wala man sila accountability kay in the first place, illegal man ang non-vet administration of vaccine.
