"swiss chalet" bargy babag 1 cebu sir overlooking sa city nice view... den city lights pag gabi but it sad 2 say na merong tao na talagang pinanganak na makati ang kamay..
wala ibang magawa kong de pag nakawan ung mga nag cacamp dun..

concerning theft issues in chalet, la jud mahimo ang barangay ana. in the first place, the spot is private not a public lot, they will just respond to our complaints and will try to address it in anyway they can. second, we were the ones who gave them reason na manghilabot. yes visitors ta and we wanted to be treated right kai lagi bisita, but sometimes we forgot that in a certain way we are also a threat to them.

in what way? people in babag are used to a serene atmosphere, and because of the influx of campers going to chalet, we have created an atmosphere they are not used to and that in a way is a threat to their way of life.

this is not only true to chalet, but through out mountaineering in the philippines in general. majority of those who climb mountains calling themselves "mountaineers" who are not even legit, forgot this very basic ethos of mountaineering: respect nature and that includes the locals who inhabit and considers the mountain as their home.

this, we forgot most of the time. that when camp time comes its the locals who become alienated in their own land.

Sir, making the locals feel alienated in their own land does not give them the right to take away what isn't theirs. I don't know what happened and in my mountain climbing years wala pa akong naranasang masamang ipinakita ng mga locals, maliban na lang kung as you've said they feel alienated in which case nagiging mejo masungit sila at hindi friendly sa visitors.

What you said sir, hindi po yun justification para magnakaw ang isang tao. Anyways, those concerned should check among themselves. Madalas sa hindi, kapwa mountaineers ang magnanakaw at ibinibintang lang lagi sa mga locals.

may mga adlaw ra na sila. kay naa q kaila na ila na jud gi andaman every time na mag camp sila sa chalet...ka kita na mu anah nila pero wala lang mu kahibalo na sila diay tong mga kawatan, unya ang ila balay kay dapit sa tower did2 sa likod sa 2nd floor walay lain balay did2. ang taga BOSMOUN ra sad nag sulti anah namu na mao na sila ang hilabtanon...

inig balik nako camp sa chalet mag dala ko ug GIFT para sa tao na HILABTANON, am sure ma surprise jud xa ug dili niya ma kalimtan sa tibuok niyang kinabuhi..

Nagka daghan ang mga wannabes..diluted ng mountaineering diris sugbo nawala ng ethics, for the sake of record rana ilaha, not for the love of nature.. peace!
